  1. The Barrel is the stock one that came with the DPMS LoPro upper
  2. Thanks The upper is a DPMS LoPro.. It was a complete upper assembly with bolt carrier group that I picked up the day after the election for a whopping total of $305 I had a lower kicking around, and I knew stuff was going to go crazy and this was the only thing available, but I like it
  3. Well earlier in the week (after being inspired by gr8santini's AWESOME XCR) I had a friend made a few stencils for me of a few skulls I threw one on one of my lower receivers and painted it with some flat white spray paint.. The skull was at an angle, and I did not like it. So I hit it with some 900 cleaner and the old one whipped right off and of course did not hurt the anodizing, so I resprayed it this time straight, and I liked it better... That experience made me realize how easily I could reverse something on the metal parts and gave me the courage to try a whole gun.
  4. Grrrr.... The photos are blocked here at work. I'll have to check them out when I get home.. I assume since you posted the file that you don't mind, but I stole your skull and painted it on one of my AR lowers!!
  5. Wow, now THAT is nice!!!!!!!!!!!!! What color was used on the lower photos? I like that a LOT! I would also love to have an XCR, lol
  6. I just wanted to say Thanks! for the fast email response to a question I had before ordering, and for the fast shipping on the products I ordered! I will definitely be doing business with you again! Thank you! Andy
  7. OK... Stock Part 2... I made 2 designs, and already had 2 others for it... Which do you like best? (Stock 1 was an easy modification to a goof in my first design that acer_saiga308 cam up with... Thanks ) 1. 2. 3. 4.
  8. Hummm... That don't look bad either.. I may have to modify this one a bit and see how it looks. Thanks for the idea!
  9. And I messed up.... I made it to tall at the receiver.. The space from the top of the top tube to the bottom of the bottom tube is too much (taller than the receiver) Looks like I am going to have to use a lot smaller diameter upper tube and try again... The good news is that it appears that by drilling a hole in the back of the top tube and welding an AR sliding stock indexing washer (receiver plate) to the front that I can use this one on an AR if I use an A2 buffer tube.. Anyway... Here's my first attempt.. I'll try again tomorrow..
  10. Longer than it should have I had a heck of a time figuring out how to get the bolt hold open back in place and working after taking the trigger out and trimming it a few times (it was a double hook, so I had to remove one hook, and remove a hair off the front center) I also made a new trigger guard from scratch, but it probably took about 1.5-2 hours Should have been about half that time, but now I know how the BHO goes in and the trick to getting the spring in there
  11. Couldn't leave it like it was... It had the Tapco stock with pistolgrip, but the trigger pull was horrible with that setup, the trigger wanted to rotate up while your new hand position wanted to pull it back.. Ripped into it as soon as I got home and got it converted. My parts count is OK as long as I use Surefire mags.. I'll be adding a different stock soon, and a different hand guard. I just modified this hand guard so it looked a bit different I still want to move the front sight, and thread the barrel Anyway, here's a before and after.. Yesterday and tod
  12. Just picked up this one this morning.. Already had the parts to convert, so spent the morning working on it Still have more to do, but this is how it sits right now
  13. I tried to do a search for ACE, but nothing came up, and if I add stock or stocks to my search I get a ton of hits, but can't go through them all right now, the ones I tried didn't help, SO.... I just picked up a Saiga in 308 today that I would like to pick up a side folding ACE stock for, and was wondering (without refreshing and clicking through all the sponsors) if anyone sells them and might have them in stock.. (This is for a converted Saiga, no pistol grip on the stock please) Any help would be great Thanks
