How much play dies the pro mags have while full. You should have almost enough to put a nother round in but not quite. Also read up on the 3rd lug of the 308. Mine needed a Slight reprofile and polishing.

Read up. It sounds like the 3rd lug is diging into the top round when the mag is tight full. My 308 did this. You may disassemble the mags and shorten the stops on the flower to get a little more room for the rounds to push down while the bolt rides over them. How is it with the factory mag?

I never had much luck with a side mount on the 308. I went with a beryl style rail. Your scope looks very high up. How close is the laser to where you are while trying to sight in?

Thanks for all the input guys. What type of muzzle device are most of you all using? I can imagine the fire ball and bang is quite loud with a barrel so short. But that is half the fun. Also is there a folding arm brace available yet? -
I'm considering a pistol for my next ak. What would you get and why? Pros and cons.

Could you but a block in the factory mag as to only hold 2 rounds? I have done that with my 308 for deer hunting in Oregon.

I have welded steel on both the 308 I have done. What part did you have to grind?

I use the auto plug upside down for magnum rounds. It cycles fine.

Don't forget the 308 needs the saifty fixed . Both I have done needed it

Get a wood dowel a rag and a hammer. Hit it down and back with the dowel as a punch. The rag is to cover it so it don't go flying into the lost world

It does block most of the gas while upside down on magnum loads but still enough to cycle
