I like the one on krebs site for the Quick detach and rear peep but read they were going to be alot of $$$ so I have been looking at the one from gillberts but dont want to loose all iron sights for $69. What do you recomend?

I am not sure what You mean by dovetail. I adjusted it so it would get tighter. but it seems like the rail and recever wiggles. not sight to the rail.

Recently bought side mount bp-02 bellruse and could not get to zero. all gropes 5to 6 inches at 100 yds apon inspection seen thar the recever flex seems to be the problem. Movement side to side caused by thin stamped recever metal. So I am thinking of buying the beryl style mount and was wondering if it will be rock solid or will it wiggle side to side? I want to keep my scope so I dont think the ultimack mount will work. I will instal a rail on my arsinal slr 95 milled recver for the bp-02.

I am pretty shure most if not all of them are 1 in 12.

Tonight I tried adding spacer ti makethe 8 rnd factory mag into a 5 rnd mag for hunting. Everything went eazy until trying to cycle the ammo the bolt catches on the right hand side beacause of ther odd number of rounds. Do I have the same issue as talked about above. The pictures of the bolt are to vage for me to tell if my bolt needs to be filed. The dent in the shell is in the same place. Any advice would help.

I think the sling swivel stud is the most logical place unless You want to get some lower rail and mount it there. I havent seen a barell clamp on one that i like.

The surefire mags fit real tight in my s308 u might try them before u do any mods to your gun.

I think they come in eather high or low. I have the low one with weaver rail it sits about 3/16" above the dust cover. I found it on ebay key word saiga $29 +$17 shipping from belarus. It seems to hold zero pretty well. I have only had it off once to clean. looks good and is solid.

Is it posible to cut a mag well for the 30-06 and change furniture? I think that would be the next coolest thing If they offered the 06 in the same format as the s308 not the 100. Why cant we get the tiger here?

I bought my 308 about 1 month ago. I was just wondering if they all only throw the spent case 2-3 feet? My 7.62x39 throws them 10-15 feet. Also had 2 falure to eject rounds out of about 100 rounds first time out I used barnal 140 grn soft point.

I dont know if pluging the 8 would be legal for big game hunting. I will have to check the oregon regs. It is legal for shotguns bird hunting. I may have to cut the twenty down. I just think it will be hard to make my self do that to a fifty dollar mag. Thanks for the ideas.
