I did the same thing to my saiga ver 030 to use a drum. I wound like to fit a five round magwell mag to the top of the md drum with no permeant mods. With some more dummy rounds and the metal clip off the top of the drum it should work fine if the angle is matched. It would be great if a vendor sold an adapter for the magwell guns.

You can get quick steel at autozone for 6$ or you could use the green fiberglass resin or resin short strain

What's it like today since it stalled out? Looks like a good pounding of rain and wind until Thursday. (I was supposed to be there Tuesday night). Still thinking of coming later this week though. The only two full auto Saiga 12s I have shot would only run high brass but they had been cut down with out the gas system being moved back. Just a gas port so big i could but my finger in it. But I did use 20, 30 round drums and 12 round mags.

That would be a 37mm. A M203 40mm would be a DD and a lot more then 200$ and for me the 37mm was cool for a bit but got old after the first box

Just a heads up I think that's a Molot plum mag not a Tula. Would you be willing to trade it for Russian rock and lock mags?

Won't work the maxrounds drum is milled the MD Arms drum is plastic.

You see them come up for sale on the ak forum from time to time. Only if one of us ship it to them. MD Arms and others dont export to drums to people across the water.

I have been told yes but it needs to be shortened a little. Turbothis sells the latch and others have used the front pin form the side folder kit after making it a little shorter.

They have heavier barrel saigas now also

I have a few extra AK-100 pins so that good to know. Now I need a template or something as to where I need to cut the front. Got the back covered already. Any place to get one? That's really cool, mind posting a pic? Will try to do that this weekend.

Got mine from Turbothis. Also my IZ-433, 030 type already had the spring and hole in the hand guard out the box. Just need a pin and I guess the magwell will hold it in if not I will use e-clips.
