  1. So, I am in the market to change out my current wooden front HG's to something like this where I can mount a vertical grip such as pictured as well as my flashlight on the side. Four questions, and maybe a few more: 1.) where did you get the Quad rail? 2.) I already have the Dinzag lower HG retainter, will this rail mount using the current lower HG retainer since I paid $80+ for it? 3.) what kind of vertical grip is that and where can I get it? 4.) I have a streamlight scorpion flashlight that uses the CR123 batteries, what kind of mount can I use to put the flashlight on this rail?
  2. I didnt intend to convert mine either and went with the skeleton stock. I like it ALOT and recommend it highly. I dont have any problems using the iron sights with the cheek piece rotated out of the way. I havent put a scope or dot sight on it yet but figure with the cheek piece in place it will allow for use of a scope without a problem. I think the only other one I would consider is the Tapco modified adjustable stock with PG, but for the $250 scam price they charge you could just convert the damn gun!! Ashame they take a $100 stock and dump a $150 price tag on it to modify it!!
  3. WOW, I bought mine at the Ft. Worth gunshow from a local shop and they were asking $300+tax. I paid $324 and that was four months or more ago!! I know I was had but I have been thinking about going to another one soon to see what I can find another x39 for. Who knows, I may even go .308 but I doubt it as I couldnt afford the ammo.
  4. Damn, Im gonna stick with CDNN!! These guys sound like idiots that are full of excuses!! Who cares if they come on here are offended by unhappy customers comments, they shouldnt have screwed up and deceived just about everyone here that ordered from them. I was close to droppin an order for this "deal" and can honestly say that I was LUCKY I didnt!!
  5. Thats what I did, except for cleaning the threads with alcohol!
  6. So these are indeed the master molder mags that simply require a little fileing to work just fine? I have already bought about 6 of these at $13.00 a piece and this seems like a really good deal if they are the same mags? Please confirm that they are and I will stimulate the economy ASAP LOL!!
  7. I am not the only member here that has had a problem with a LOT LONGER than promised turn around as I had about 2-3 other folks asking me about my experience even before I had received the handguards. Either way, if he would have sent my money back I would have been perfectly fine with that, in fact, the last email I sent mentioned that as a possibility. He sent the handguards then. Soo, my problem was with the customer service and mainly with the time frame being a lot longer than I was led to believe. The quality of the pieces were very nice and I am happy with the look. So that being sa
  8. Alright, almost a week and half after promised here are some pics. These are Walnut Handguards made by Ironwood Designs. I used a Red Mahogany Woodstain by MinWax to get the color and the Dinzag Bolt on Retainer to hold on the handguards.
  9. Second that, scratches the lever all to hell and it looks like crap, but I havent busted a finger either LOL!!
  10. Finally received my Walnut Handguards from Ironwood after a LONG 3+ week wait. The fit and finish are great and I plan to have some pics up soon, however, the customer service experience was marginal and quite disappointing. I had countless number of emails stating "just a couple of days longer" and a week later still the same "just a couple of more days." If I could do it all over again I would have ordered synthetic handguards and had them in half the time, put a vertical grip on it and been good to go. Love the product but I will not place another order with Ironwood again. Pics s
  11. That is pretty much exactly what I am looking for. So, where did you get it, and how much was it? Thanks for the pics.
  12. LMAO, I was just thinking about the whole gov. situation and was gonna make that comment when I came back, you beat me to it. Either way, I think you will like the skeleton stock ALOT more than that factory piece of junk monte stock. Gives the gun a great feel, my ONLY complaint about the stock is that I have short fingers and its a little bit of a stretch for my trigger finger. I find it comfortable to shoot it with my middle finger sometimes, just not quite the fine motor skills and strength as the trigger finger has. I believe I will be picking up another Saiga for modding at the gun show o
  13. Just outfitted my Saiga with a skeleton from Gilbertguns.com and i had no issues at all. Both holes were on the top, nothing for the botton but it fit so well i just left it as is. So the one from Gilbert came with holes pre-drilled? Sure did. Wow, thats nice, -1 for Mississippi Arms for selling the stock without the holes pre-drilled. If I get another x39 and decide not to mod it (which wont happen) then I will order the stock from Gilberts instead!! Like someone said above, a little sanding or some dremeling around the edges to smooth things out may have made the jo
  14. Just ONE of the reasons I added NY to one of the states I will NEVER set foot in for long term living!! Bunch of communist scumbags that are right up there with the ones from commifornia!! And I am not referring to the people living there, just the scumbags elected to office!!
  15. Im sure it could be done, but its a REAL PAIN IN THE A$$!! I assume you could lube up your gun well and possibly get it out that way, but I just left as is. I will probably get another one at some point and do a conversion on it.
