  1. I am asking $130 shipped. This scope looks brand new and I have only fired about 50 rounds with it attached to my Saiga .308. There are a few surface scratches on the locking mechanism on the bottom of the mount. It is not noticeable with the scope attached. The rest of the unit is mint. Comes with battery, rubber eye piece, and original case. I did replace the bottom of the locking mechanism with an e-clip. It holds the locking mechanism tighter than the original IMO. I also have a Centerpoint 6x32 Adventure Class scope. Never installed. Here is a link describing the scope. link
  2. The only thing I did not like about the POSP was that it made the rifle a bit top heavy. They are built like a tank though and I think are a pretty decent scope for the money. I liked the built in range finder. FOV was not to bad in my opinion. I used my left eye for aiming and I am a right handed shooter. It just felt more natural the way the scope sits to the left of the receiver. My left eye is my dominant eye any way! I just bought a Bushnell 4200 elite to replace it. I now have a beryl style mount that attatches to the front sight leaf and rear tang. I really like this s
  3. I have a one year old 6x24v POSP I am selling. Mint condition. PM me if you are interested. Here is a link describing the scope. http://www.posp.ru/6x24v.html
  4. I did not like the side mount it seemd to never get solid even when tight. so i bought the new style beryl mount with quick detach rear . it took a little dremmel work on the rear tang but it is a real solid unit. much better than anything on the side rail. Iff you spend a lot on a scope you should make it as solid as you can. Thanks for the reply! I am working on getting the Beryl l mount to fit right now. I had to add a spacer between the tang and the mount. Was not level without it the spacer. I think you have a newer version of the mount.
  5. Well, I am going to try the sandpaper method as well. Just got some 60 grit. Genius!! Thanks for the info gunnysmith!!
  6. Gettin a Bushnell 4200 Elite in a few days for my 308. I may be mounting it side rail or Beryl style if I can get the darn thing to fit properly. Have one from Stubby gear I got last year. Having many fitting issues with it. I thing the Beryl will be a better mount if I can get it to mount securely. What do you guys think? Thanks in advance.
  7. I have a first generation beryl mount that mounts over the receiver from Stubby Gear. It is supposed to mount on the rear tang and into the stock and to the leaf sight.. The screw is WAY to short to even go in the hole! Am I missing a part or something? Thanks on advance.
  8. I got one today and the bottom of the cheek rest doesn't seem to want to go all the way to be flush with the top of the stock. Did any one have same problem? Mine does fit well either. I still have not installed due to fitting issues.
  9. I used Durabake in flat black for the bottom of the receiver. No primer needed. You can probably do a complete refinish on three or four Saigas with one can. I just happened to have some left over from pistol project I was doing. It is a very good match! I am eventually going to refinish my 308 and S12 in Durabake gloss black. http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/...leitemid=598223
  10. So .308 WIN BALL(7.62X51MM) Mfg. Sellier & Bellot, Czech,1980-1983 production FMJ will be safe for my Saiga 308? Not sure about the grain though. Thanks in advance.
  11. I bought one from here. http://www.bestofferbuy.com/mystery-jg001-...ed-p-13757.html
  12. I think they are made by SUREFIRE. They are polymer and fit over the dust cover. I know there is a steel one available from Ultimak. (SP)? They do not make a steel one for the s12 though. I am just looking for some different optics options. May just go with the Krebs system.
  13. Has anyone tried one these? U.S. made polymer Picatinny mount for Saiga shotguns They are made of polymer and am wondering if they hold zero. Plastic can bend, but they are inexpensive. Thanks in advance. Bob
  14. I have a NIB MAK-90/AK-47 Dragunov Stock for a Stamped Receiver AK47. Put one on my Saiga .308 and love it!! $56 shipped. First "I take it "gets it. USPS money order please. Thanks.
  15. Got her back together today. Man I had a Hell of a time with the BHO!! I guess it is working properly. I gotta get and and put a couple rounds through it now to test her. I now have 3 Saigas converted. 7.62, .308., and my 12. Now I need a .223!! I`m hooked. Love these weapons. To bad the price has gone through the roof . Still a good buy though .
  16. Thanks for the reply!! I did some grinding on the hammer. I will get it together tomorrow. Let ya know how it turns out
  17. I am doing my conversion now. Does the Tapco G2 FCG need any modifications or is it just a drop in. I thought I read a while back some grinding may be in order for clearance issues.s Also any tips on getting the BHO back in. I have done conversion on my 308 and 7.62 and did not reinstall it. I wouldlike to keep the bolt open to inset mags easily. Looks like a pain in the a##. Thank in advance.
  18. Thanks! I thought that was it!! I am now off now to a few more rounds down the pipe before I convert her!!
  19. setting 1 is for buckshot, slugs, and higher power loads. 2 is for the cheap stuff, bird/target loads. Some people can fire any shell on setting 1 some can't. Just don't shoot buckshot and slugs on setting 2. This may be a dumb question, but is the setting adjusted to the number that is closest to the metal pin that is depressed to move the setting knob? Just want to make sure! Thanks.
  20. Just checked my 12 for the port hole problem. Lucky me I have 4 diamond shaped hole present. Put a wire through all of them to make sure they were clear. Two of them awfully close to the housing but they are clear. #084212**. I shot mine for the first time yesterday and tried some cheap Diana 1 1/4shells. Would not eject on setting one or two. Had some low brass Federal and and 00 Buckshot and it cycle well. I only put through about 30 rounds, so it is not even broken in yet. Going out today to see if I can get those Diane cheapies to eject. If, not I will use them in my Mossy 500!
  21. Yep. Me and Thud got plans. Let me know how your conversion works out for you! I started today but burned up all my Dremmel attachments. Darn rivets are hard as as heck to get out!! Got one out ,bu the other one needs new dremmels. I will pick up more tomorrow.
  22. Oh Boy. Just was working on my 308 and it has no pistol grip hole. Did not think I needed one with my new stock intentions. Thought it just screwed in with the tang. Gotta put put a hole in you say?. My 7.62 had a pistol grip hole. Is it difficult to put one in? Any suggestions or tips? Thanks.
  23. Thanks!! I am going to order on from Sportsman guide right now!! They seem to have a good price on them. Gotta get the cheek pad from elswhere though. Not available at sportsman guide. Midway has them on backorder. Thanks all for your input. Bob
