I've heard awful things about ordering direct from ACE - products backordered w/ no indication on the website, CS is unable to answer basic questions on ship times, etc. I have an order in at Mississippi, placed when estimated time was end of Jan, now updated to unknown - presumably, they're waiting on ACE (with the same lack of answers) just like all those who ordered direct, so me placing an order with ACE at this point would be pointless as well. Does anyone know anywhere that actually has these in stock? Thanks.

Which length ACE stock is generally recommended for the conversions using the internal block (cut off tang)? Obviously, there is a degree of personal fit/preference, but if someone can compare to a standard AK LOP would be appreciated. I was thinking the 8.5+1" pad...

Hmm... then again, I don't think any of the LE saiga's are registered are DD's, which is an argument in our favor. Restricted title I devices, but not NFA unless it's an SBS. And I think a DD classification "trumps" an SBS as well. Well, not the first time all the dots in our legal system and ATF's opinion don't quite connect, I guess.

Since the ATF originally allowed them for import, they implicitly declared them to be "sporting", and as such removed them from consideration as a DD.
