  5. KK's lower retainers were for 7.62 barrels. WAY TOO SMALL for the S-12 There's a few ways to go about things... Buy AK wood & sand & stain it & gut the inside to fit the S-12 barrel, Go to battleriffleG3 through Dinzag, Get a lower HG retainer from dinzag, or get an AK lower handguard retainer, cut it & weld on a piece to drill a hole through to attach it like your old lower foregrip like I did...... (I would recommend annealing it by heating it up to bright cherry red, & placing it in a preheated oven while red & turning the oven off, so it cools slowly (If you
  6. I'm thinking about re-profiling the end of the detent to be round, so that it will still hold the plug in position, but be hand adjustable. Of course, it will need to be about half as long as it is now to work. Eric

  10. Thanks! I converted it myself and have put a lot of time a money into it. In the end, it was worth it though. Eric the wood looks great im dong mine the exact same way, im almost done with my conversion all thats left is to install the handguard retainer and wait for the metal spring to come in that holds the upper handguard on the gas tube. is that a laminated stock you have?
