  1. I really hope it works out. It took a tremendous amount of self control to keep from putting down a deposit on one. Ill be envious when you guys get your shottys. Im going to go out on a limb and say that their complaints just may be valid. There seems to be a transparency issue with RDW concerning the details of this import, especially when you consider the quantity of dollars involved. perhaps. time will tell. I may end up a fool out of his $ or I might end up with two rare shotguns. At this point I care but not that much anymore. Sure I worked hard for the $ but whats com

  4. Wow, these still aren't here yet? Good luck to y'all... FWIW- The "RedDragon" forum over on AKF is locked down. Something is amiss, that much is clear.
  5. Looking for one in the USA. PM if you want to sell one.
  6. Just to clear up the safety issue I was reading earlier, the portion in green can be ground to clear the disconnector if necessary (some builders will perform this mod to disable the FA functionality of the selector). The portion in red should not be touched under any circumstance as it directly engages the back of the trigger preventing it from rotating and releasing the hammer. The portion in green, that is directly behind the back of the disconnector does not engage the trigger.
  7. Well, sort of. Both are stamped receivers. The Molot has the RPK style barrel trunnion, which is definitely cool. If available id pick up that vepr any day of the week.
  8. To each their own. I prefer the OEM type steel riveted TG over the bolt on angled setups. The bolt on deals really do look cheap to me, having only seen them in pics on websites. If y'all say different I believe you, but still wouldn't put one on my gun.
  9. Those bolt on TG setups just seem cheap to me. Riveting is they way to go. My 2c.
  10. For the PG conversion, AKbuilder stuff is top notch. Especially if you like the OEM look.
  11. Thanks for the reply! I do have it in hand, and removed the rail sight. With the rail sight removed there is a threaded stub on the GB, that the OEM rail sight attached to. The ultimak rail I referenced is allegedly made specifically for the S12 with the adjustable rail sight. I was wondering if anyone has installed one on an IZ108, and if so did it require mods to the gas block for installation? The plan is to add that rail and install a trijicon reflex. Do you have a IZH108 yet? New guns like mine don't have a removable front sight. You have to grind down the sight flush a
  12. Hello fellas! Im new here, but not new to the AKM. Nice site y'all have here. I want to mount this: http://www.ultimak.com/M11-s.htm to an IZ108 with the adjustable rail. I am wondering precisely how this rail mounts up the the shotgun without modifications. I see that the rear of the IZ108 rail mounts into a dovetail, and the front is affixed to a threaded stub on the GB. The description ultimak gives is not clear on precisely how the rail mounts up once the OEM sight is removed. Thanks for any help! PS- I did some searching and didn't come up with anything.
  13. If there are enough of these GBs here i'm sure an American company will make a kit to complete the conversion...AKbuilder for instance. Give it time.
  14. They will probably have the rest of the parts in a month, when these GBs are sold out lol. I have been fighting the urge to purchase one...
