    argh

That looks maybe like the one that can come off the SKS T-9 stock. I thought it was the same and tried to do a swap and realized it wouldn't work.
  3. I've got the SAW grip on mine (like many many others) but I just helped my friend do his 7.62 and he had the Ergo grip and man that thing feels nice. Make sure to get the Ergo AK Classic grip. The regular Ergo AK grip is I believe just the Ergo designed for the AR15 with an adapter on it. We had to take a razor and slice a bit off the grip where the BHO comes down though, no big deal. Might not be in the way if you shave your BHO now that I think about it, I haven't modded my BHO at all yet cause it doesn't bother me where it's at with the new forward trigger. regular AK grip (don't ge
  4. Honestly, whatever story you might imagine is probably better than anything I could think of.
  5. I was surprised by what I heard on one of Gresham's recent Podcasts. A caller called in asking about specialty shotgun ammo, i.e. flame thrower etc. Gresham discounted the idea saying something like it was just some YouTube fun and also threw in there about seeing fully automatic shotguns with drum mags on them and how that was just youtube fun also and that they didn't serve a purpose (not exact quotes). He also said some agencies will waste tax payers money on these things. I was surprised to hear this from Gresham because he seems to be all for modern weapons and pro 2nd Ammendment for wha
  6. A lot of that on the 7.62 pages. I believe it's very hard to find one for sale. Takes a bit of work installing the trunnion and latch mechanism but in my opinion it's the coolest folder out there. I went with the ACE folder on my 12 which I'd say is the next coolest in line I'd say (until somebody designs a folder to work with the MD20 that is). http://www.k-var.com/shop/product.php?prod...=251&page=5
  7. Maybe the strangest pic you'll ever see featuring Saigas?
  8. Maybe the strangest pic featuring Saiga's you'll ever see?
  9. Thanks for all the comments fellas! Almost done with the BHO re-install video. My main objective was to provide a video that shows detailed close-ups of the conversion process and step-by-step instructions. Your comments let me know I've achieved this. There's a lot of different ways to go about certain tasks when converting and I learn a better way to do it every time I do one (I've done a whopping whole 2 Saigas now). Now I just need to get more of my friends to go buy a Saiga so I can help them out.

  11. I got 3 SKS's after having and converting a couple Saigas, SKSs are cool too but my Saiga is the favorite for x39.
  12. If it was me, I'd just concentrate my efforts on reinstalling the BHO. For me it's a must-have on the 12.
  13. The mag release holds down the front of the TG, as long as the rear bolt is in place which the loctite I'll use post refinishing keeps my mind at ease. Otherwise you got to drill a hole, might do it if I get bored.
  14. That does sound a lot easier. The BHO install will happen after test shoot and refinishing. Same with the bullet guide.
  15. Thanks LB! On the x39 the selector stop is part of the mag release. If I was to do another S12 personally I'd get that Tromix DIY trigger guard partly because of the selector stop, what a great product!
  16. Do the conversion, refinish the gun, take it off safe pulling on the lever so it won't put the initial scratch on the gun, then never use the safety. Of course you might then end up with a scratch on your person, or a hole, more likely a hole.
  17. Correct. The link to download appears at the bottom right of the video's page but only if you have a vimeo account (free) and are logged in. Both.
  18. Hey don't judge a book by it's cover
  19. I made a video out of my most recent conversion. Link: Saiga Pistol Grip Conversion
  20. Also posted in the 7.62x39 thread (Mods please delete if this double post goes against the rules, I just figured some 12 owners would like to see it, like me where the 12 was their first, I never checked the 7.62 thread before I finally bought a 7.62) I made a video out of my most recent conversion. Down and dirty garage conversion, nothing fancy except unlike most videos I've seen on youtube, vimeo, aol, etc. you can see a lot better what's going on, in other words, it's great for newbs to watch. 21. I reused my factory stock screws (2 of the 3) in the K-Var stock I got from Dinzag. Just have to drill a couple holes in the stock. The PG nut he sells comes as shown, just the PG nut. I know the SAW grip comes with the 6mm bolt for the PG nut. Dinzag also sells the trigger guard hardware so don't forget that.

  23. Hey this was at the top of the forum as if it had recently been discussed so I didn't even bother looking at the date. But I have no idea why it was at the top of the forum? Seems it could have only been there because of my recent reply but I'm telling you it was at the top of the list. Maybe somebody voted on the poll and it brought it to the top? Mods is that correct? That's all I can think of, I'll check dates in the future if that's the case.
