I have been using wolf ammo in my saiga for the longest time, but recently i field stripped it to clean out the gas tub and all the internal components and i had a ton of carbon residue come out and cleaned a ton out... is this a bad thing?

How Hard was it to put the pistol grip on it.. i am thinking about converting mine finally... but i am not that skillful at manufacturing addons or anything... also where did you get the grip and everything

My adapter has 4 screws on the side that join the siderail mount and the weaver mount together.. i was afraid locktite might not be a good idea.. but i guess it is ok right?

I an experiencing a problem with my siderail to weaver mount adapter. The screws keep coming loose knocking the scope off.. does anyone have any suggestion to stop the screws on teh adapter from coming loose?

I went a little tiny bit cheaper route.. i bought this http://personalsecurityzone.com/cgi-win/or...ProductID=14980 i really like it so far (zeroed at 25 yards and only a little off right now at 100 so far on a rifle stand i was getting a very very small radius spread) the rings were another 20 bucks...

What magnification is that scope? i am using a 3-9x40 and i like it but it is a little big on the gun...

Today was the first time i took my Saiga to the range with my new scope.. I put a tasco 3-9x40 and after a few shots got the scope zeroed and this sucker shoots pretty accurate at about a 3 inch radius spread... i am very very happy and impressed with it..

I want to put a 20 inch barrel on it.. but not sure yet.. just got the scope on today and removed the reddot i had..

I just got the kalinka ones (the ones they say counterfeit) it says the same made in on the side of it and it looks EXACTLY the same and is a little cheaper

Alright got my correct mount in today.. the thing is awesome.. not to high but high enough that iron sights are useable.. I think it is time to admit that a reddot isnt going to cut it though on this weapon (i will put the reddot on the ruger mkIII and be done with that.. so now it is scope time.. What is a decent but not overpriced scope and what magnification should i be looking for (my real question is.. is the saiga 7.62x39 really that accurate or is a scope kinda a stupid idea?)

Ok so i got my mount today.. and it is the wrong one.. they sent me the low profile one instead of the high profile.. The low profile is really really nice, i just wanted to use the ironsights and the reddot instead of just the reddot.. here are some pics of them...

I bought the same one. I like it and it has held zero well. It looks a little funny because it brings the optic up pretty high above the reciever, but I find that it actually makes aiming easier, I dont have to squash my cheek down onto the stock to get a proper sight picture. It is ideal for my reflex sight, I can keep my head upright and maintain good peripheral vision with both eyes open while firing. I like being able to still use the iron sights if necessary. Well that is the high-profile model.. there is a low profile which brings it right up to the receiver... the high profile on

http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?showtopic=23410 I just ordered the one from kalinkoptics.. the one that has 557 as the ID.. should get it in a few days.. they are replicated from the posp and other mounts but look to be nice bullshark i had looked at that but i didnt know is that one the high or low profile.. the one from kalink has both a high and a low profile model.. the high allows the use of ironsights and optics and the low only optics

2 of the mounts on the kalink says SDV rail.. what is SDV rail and does the saiga ak47 have this? they all say saiga and ak47 in the description but their appears to be 2 different types of rails... and i have no idea what the difference is or which one i have... also what do the 1,2,3 on the iron sights refer to?
