  1. Dude, I love doing business with those guys. We aren't just customers to Keith and Cliff - we're all partners in a collective centered around technical innovation, firearm education and personal/professional growth. They have the skills, knowledge and connections that allow me to do whatever I want with any firearm that I want to buy, build or customize. Now with their brick and mortar storefront, it's icing on the cake. Awesome to deal with, an honor to associate with - Thanks for making me feel special when I come around. See you guys at the top.
  2. hey there, if anyone is around el reno, bethany , okc , yukon area im looking for a big large group of ak / saiga enthusiasts fellows to go shoot with. yup we should all go out to a range if i got more than 5 people with alot of guns to decide to go...but knowing this group/website page i highly doubt i will get that many replys in my area , Peace , D
  3. Alright.. So I'm kind of hoping the Vepr 12's hit stateside soon. I know they're in the process of being brought over, but who knows how long this could take. (As an aside, does anybody know how the latest Saiga 12's compare to the Veprs?? It seems like they have alot of the same features.. Anything really outstanding between the two?) So I'm in the market for a new model Saiga 12. What I'm confused about is the difference(s) between 030 and 040 models. Is there anything substantial? I heard that the 030's don't have a variable gas system.. From what I understand, on shotguns, isn't t
  4. Hi, i am going to purchase a saiga pretty soon and i was deciding between a saiga in 223 or 7.62 x 39mm, this rifle will be a SHTF rifle and was wondering which round would be more abundant during a situation like this, now i know that 223 is probably more used in the United states, but i also heard that x39 is slowly getting replaced by 5.45. this isn't a discussion on which round is better, both are accurate both can kill, and both are cheap.. do you think i should worry about ammunition availability between these two types? or will both be around enough to not make a difference? (this goes
  5. Hi, I am selling a Mako Galil-Style Folding, Collapsible Butt stock for the AK. I was going to use this on a saiga rifle conversion, but I ended up selling the rifle. So I could use the money for another project. I never mounted this stock to the rifle; I just removed it from its original package. I am asking $300 $275 shipped in the U.S. From The Mako Group website: Collapsible stock system utilizes the rugged Galil folding mechanism to adapt AK-47 rifles to enable collapsible stocks that fold to the side. Includes GLR-16 buttstock. Solid hardened steel adapter bol

  8. Bought a new Saiga 410 (Legion USA), and did a full conversion. Looks great, and the Fire Control Group conversion was a snap ( thanks to Carolina Shooters Supply), but won't load Golden Bear rounds at all! Tried every mag out there Promag/SGM/Factory... up and to the right... chrushes every shell, and nicks the crap out of the plastic shells it can load! What a POS! Paid over $70 for a 10 round factory mag (K-VAR) (the only mag that would feed plastic rounds because of their length), and it busted after 10 rounds. Can't load any plastic cased ammo in the ProMag/SGM except the most e
  9. Up for trade is my Taurus Judge Magnum (3" cylider) in stainless. Shown with the Hogue Monogrip (awesome) and I will also include the factory "Ribber" grip. I love this gun! It is fun to shoot and I'm content to keep it forever but I just want to see what kind of interest it would draw (if any)...you never know, right? It has been to the range once with my wife and I putting roughly 25-30rds through it. All birdshot except for 5rds of 000 Buck. It is in like-new, excellent used condition. I'd like to trade it for a Judge Public Defender (in stainless) or Any complete AKM with a
  10. Hello all you happy people! I have some stuff taking up space that I need to sell. I was going to fund a conversion with the proceeds, but as the title states, times are tough in the stable! I'll ship to the UNITED STATES only. Payment via DISCREET Paypal. A gift is great.....no fees me thinks. I ship via USPS flat rate Priority. I ship once (maybe twice) a week due to my work schedule. My prices are pretty firm but not etched in stone. PM me if you have a serious offer. I might consider trades, but as I said, I need gas money!! Forum rules apply. Thanks for loo

  13. Saiga .308, lightly used, well cared for. Adjustable stock, Tapco G2 trigger, Krebs retainer plate, 2-25 round surefire mags and 1-10 round factory mag. $800.00 shipped. Regards, Calen Smith
  14. Which brake is the best at reducing muzzle climb for follow up shots, the ak-74 brake or FSC47? I have a factory threaded barrel. I have cut away the barrel shroud to use an FSC47, but I want to replace the gas block and fsb, and so far it looks like my only option for a fsb is an ak-74 type with 24mm thread. I could cut off the front of the fsb for a more traditional akm fsb and use the FSC47, but it seems like a waste. I could use the 24mm threads with an ak-74 brake (sized for 7.62) but that seems like a waste of the factory threads. I have all the parts so the cost isn't a factor, jus

  16. Hi all. I am in the middle of a 308 conversion. I got a complete conversion from CSS. Almost everything is done and I am reassembling the FCG. When the rifle is almost complete with the trigger/spring/hammer and retaining plate, during function checks the leg on the right side of the spring moves from the rear of the trigger (where its supposed to be) and falls inside of the trigger group. The spring is the factory one, and the rifle only has a single "hook" cut in the receiver. This causes malfunctions and the trigger will not reset/clear with it falling in there. I know I am install
  17. Hi I'm new to the fourm I just converted my saiga 7.62x39 to a pistol grip configuration and high cap mags. Now I am looking at doing the handguards. I already have a wood handguard set I just need the normal akm gas tube and a bolt on bottom handguard retainer. PLEASE let me know if you have either of these, thanks!
  18. Hello, I am looking into getting the Tapco Intrafuse buttstock and handgaurd for my 7.62. I wanted to know other peoples opinions about the stock or other options in the same price range. http://tapco.com/pro...d&productId=161 http://tapco.com/pro...d&productId=157
  19. The Saiga 22 AKM: Ive wanted one of these since I found this place. Hope one day we can get some state side. Got this info from a guy in the UK. Got a review from a guy on another forum: I shot one of these (the AKM version) today at Bisley. Oleg has received 3 guns and they are all sold, one to me The gun is really well built, it's all steel and all the parts look and feel like they are built to last, almost over-engineered for .22LR. The whole gun feels really solid. The barrel is a full diameter AK barrel, no barrel liner or anything. The trigger unit looks like a genuine A

  22. I bought a saiga 12 2 years ago and i have had nothing but bad luck. Honestly it probably has a lot to do with the fact that this is my first gun and I have no idea what im doing when it comes to customizing it. Recently the Bolt carrige sheared at the piston insertion point and my Gumsmith is welding it together. I have been told that this is a bad idea but I dont know what els to do. I can't find a new piston/bolt/carriage anywhere. Im at the point where i just want to say f* it and start over. Any advice. (please be nice im totally new at this). Does anyone know where i can get parts for th
  23. Hi everyone. Newb here so please be patient. The piston that is located at the front end of the bolt carrier has sheared and is missing a piece of metal. Called everyone i know and no one has ever heard of this happening. im assuming it was operator error :/ . Is there a way to get a new bolt and carrier? I dont know very much about guns this was/is my first gun. I want to make this a reliable weapon ,but i feel i am to inexperienced to mess with it. Espically now that its damadged.
  24. Hello everyone, Im looking to get an AK47 and from what Im finding Saiga is the way to go. There are no good shops local to me and several of my friends have good things to say about Atlantic Firearms. I dont have time to do a conversion and I was lookign for somthing already converted. I found this model and like the look of it. It appears that the bolt and carrier is either polished or plated with somthing and the red stocks and black finish look cherry. I posted in some other forums but I figure that the Saiga home would be the best place to ask. Any input would be good.
