From the album: Saiga 7.62 and Saiga 12
My brother shipped a brand new Pelican 1720 case home from Afghanistan where he was deployed (USMC). He came home today on leave and gave it to me. Trying to figure out exactly how I want the foam cut. Case looks dirty because of the super fine Afghan sand that gets into everything. Going to wipe it all down tomorrow. Need to find some extra foam for it at a decent price so I can can cut it for multiple configurations. Sick case, though. Beefy as hell. -
Hey everybody. I'm new here, so if it's not allowed to ask, just tell me, but I'm wanting to know about what kind of a Saiga 12 I should pick out for a Turkey Gun... That's right, I'm wanting to hunt turkey with a Saiga 12. Right now, I have a Stoeger 2000 that deals out a larger amount of recoil. It kicks like a mule. I don't like it, so I'll be trading it in soon, and my main plan is to trade it in on a Saiga 12. I currently have a few other Assault Weapon type platforms; some DPMS AR-15s, and a sweet WASR-10. ***Picture Note*** The pic of the stock folded is flipped b/c i took it upside down (stupid iPhone). The stock is actually folding to the left. Pretty Simple. I bought it, had it converted by a gunsmith, bought a crap ton of custom parts, fired it to ensure it worked, had it coated in Alumahyde II by gunsmith, and now it's for sale. Want to buy "the ring" before I deploy in January and this will help fund it. -Saiga 12 with 19in barrel (converted) -Coated with Flat Dark Earth Alumahyde II -ACE internal Receiver Block -CSS Button Folder -ACE 8.5in Skeleton stock with 1" recoil pad

so here it is, i just finished about a month ago and i converted it before i shot it once but well worth the wait. the family took me about 2 hours including waiting for paint to dry, im very happy with it and its my new favorite gun. only problem iv'e had is the JTE spring falling off the trigger legs, altho i thought its not suppose to do that but i gave it a couple bends and no problems since then. all thats left to do it ship out to Pauly's Steelin' Custom Fabrication to have bottom polished, media blast & treated to look gray -IZ109 -4

Hello guys, I would like to change the stock op rod on my saiga 12 to the Tom cole heavy duty rod. I found a website that sell tap and dyes to clean out the carrier and fix the threads on the op rod in case I need it after I profile the heavy duty one for aks. They also have a jig that screw the op rod and can drill a straight hole without a vice and drill press. The question is are the saiga12 and ak 47 threads the same.
