The info I have been able to locate on these 1972's with the triangle and arrow trunion marks are the parts are from military/guard versions, not civilian rifles....Anybody know the true story on them?? I had a chance to compare them side by side today with other unmarked WASR's and the quality between the marked and unmarked rifles were night and day........ Thanks!

Hello, everyone As my first AK type rifle and first gun purchase I bought a GP WASR-10/63 made in 1971 The rifle works flawlessly I have ran over 3,000 rounds through it with no FTE or FTFs at all, that being said what dose your WASRs look like ? and how have you configured them? I will post pics of mine soon Thanks for reading!

Followed a UPS truck to a BIG BOX Sports store and snagged a 1964 arsenal marked WASR for $450.... Karma and persistence pays off!

Hello, I'm Solhays85, I'm new to this site and new to the AK platform. Ok, so I just got a new to me WASR last week and during the time of shooting about 220 rounds, the muzzle nut came off once or twice. So I ordered a Midwest flash hider with 14-1 left hand. Well, come to find out the hider will not thread, it's too large and just slides on and off. I'm almost wondering by looking at the threads, someone tapped the threads. They also seem to be pretty long, the threads go halfway into the hider. Any input would be awesome and I thank anyone taking a look. Here is a video Here is a pictu

I have a great Yugo underfolder. Standard Century model parkerized with black polymer furniture, Red Star Arms retainer plate, slightly corroded piston(as many Yugo's have), slant muzzle brake. I've put around 300 rounds through it with no problems. Great gun overall. Looking to trade for another AK-47(WASR, etc.) but with a standard combloc metal wire side-folding stock. Just want something that runs fine with no issues, no canted sights, detachable non-welded muzzle brake/flash hider and minimal mag wobble, prefer Romy wood pistol-style foregrip, but not a big deal if plain wood or polymer.
