Hey guys so i picked up my new saiga today. Very happy with it but just had one question about something. Look at the picture and see how the spring doesnt sit flush..is this normal? I have not seen this before. All the hammer springs I see sit on the trigger flush. Just wondering.

So what does everybody think about the quality of a converted Saiga Ak-47 versus Romania, Egyptian, Yugoslavian, and all other Ak's?

Hello everyone. So I ordered a bullet guide for my 7.62x39 and one tapco 30 round mag. I am also going to file the magazine catch on the rifle instead of modifying all my ak-47 mags..My question is if the tab on the tapco mag is the same thickness as the tab on a steel ak mag? So if i go and file the mag catch lever on the rifle to fit the tapco then go and get steel mags i want the steel mags to fit too..like i hope the tapco mags tab isnt thicker to the point where i file the mag catch lever on the rifle to fit the tapco but the steel tabs are thinner? you know what i mean kinda? please

I'm a relatively new firearms enthusiast (~2 years) and well new to Saiga rifles and shotguns, AK-47/74 variants, and the conversions between the 2. I was hoping to solicit some advice based on what little I know of these platforms. I've been looking at the Saiga-12 models and found this at Atlantic Firearms. It seems to be this model from Legion USA. I find the magwell and the LRBHO features attractive. I want to know if these are reasonable prices for Saiga-12 with these options. I've been looking at some of the custom items at the sponsor sites, but I do not know enough to know i

I have a great Yugo underfolder. Standard Century model parkerized with black polymer furniture, Red Star Arms retainer plate, slightly corroded piston(as many Yugo's have), slant muzzle brake. I've put around 300 rounds through it with no problems. Great gun overall. Looking to trade for another AK-47(WASR, etc.) but with a standard combloc metal wire side-folding stock. Just want something that runs fine with no issues, no canted sights, detachable non-welded muzzle brake/flash hider and minimal mag wobble, prefer Romy wood pistol-style foregrip, but not a big deal if plain wood or polymer.

Which brake is the best at reducing muzzle climb for follow up shots, the ak-74 brake or FSC47? I have a factory threaded barrel. I have cut away the barrel shroud to use an FSC47, but I want to replace the gas block and fsb, and so far it looks like my only option for a fsb is an ak-74 type with 24mm thread. I could cut off the front of the fsb for a more traditional akm fsb and use the FSC47, but it seems like a waste. I could use the 24mm threads with an ak-74 brake (sized for 7.62) but that seems like a waste of the factory threads. I have all the parts so the cost isn't a factor, jus
