I've had time to reflect on good advice I found here. The Fury 1 upgrade is essentially in maintenance mode now, and is shown in the pic with a Bulgarian AK-74 (No-Dak Spud) for reference and size comparison. It weighs about 9.5 pounds by my guess. I should go weigh it, but I was already used to carrying an M-60 back in the day. I've tried many loads and it is rock solid with all the slug or buck I can find moving faster than 1250 fps. I did adjust the set on the TAC-47 a bit for more consistent performance with a magazine of mixed manufacturer's ammunition. That was about 1/2 turn in (ri

Previously acquired the Fury I (with the traditional stock) So update as of yesterday: CSS supplied the following mods: FCG TG with AR-style PG mount Reliability package (recoil springs, nylon guide) Adjustable regulator Trunnion backplate and adjustable pig-nose Hammer Springs Piston Rail and cover Galil-like charging handle extension (I'm a lefty; it's easier for me to turn my palm and pull straight back) Other pieces-parts include the Magpul grip on the rail, Magpul PG, and I'm ordering the Chaos HK sights for trial. Hi, all I purchased my catamount fury 2 in January of this year and have been shooting at least every weekend, For some reason the gun will not cycle any type of target loads I buy. I've tried everything from Federal Target loads, Remington gun club, and Fiocci loads and none of them will work. It cycles high brass shells perfectly ! I've shot at least 25 of 30 rounds of high brass buck shot through it I have tried loads that have been 1145 Velocity to 1355 and none of them work. Any help would be greatly appreciated ! THANK YOU!!!!

Particularly with regards to the gas tube, forearm furniture, etc. I don't have side-by-side guns, but I did compare the fit of a Saiga rail system to Catamount. The Catamount is shorter (iirc) between the receiver and the gas block. I don't have a VEPR handy. Have any of you creative smiths looked at this crosswise? The standard AK systems (e.g.: Midwest Industries) are too short between the trunnion and front plate also. And it goes without saying, the 12g barrel doesn't drop into the after-market HG too well. I'm also leery of too much rail/real estate. Who needs a fully segmented
