Looking for forward light mounting suggestions. Would prefer not to modify the front hand guard. I have a barrel mount that came with my GT light but it is not big enough for a 12 gauge barrel.

So is there a proper instruction set or manual anywhere for how this process is to be done? Out of the box the folder from Bonesteel is covered in grease\cosmoline and I cannot get it to fold. There are two screws, one of which I know goes into the rear of the Vepr 12 receiver to hold it in. The other I have no idea what it does. At first I thought maybe it locked the folder into place when shipping- but even after removing it I cannot get the thing to budge by pressing on the actuation button. I've removed the screw from the tapco stock my Vepr came with- but the thing is stuck. I'm not

This past weekend I ran about 200 rounds of winchester bulk through 2 Saiga-12s and 1 Vepr-12. I used the following mags; 12 round SGM Vepr-12 5 round stock Vepr-12 12 round SGM Saiga-12 12 round promag Saiga-12 12 round promag drum Saiga-12 20 round MDArms drum Saiga-12 5 round stock Saiga-12 One thing I noticed was that all the guns at some point would FTE using basically any magazine. After some experimenting with the hold on the weapon I realized the gun was short stroking like a pistol that was limp wristed. If you guys are having trouble, really get behind the gun and ho

I bought a new vepr 54r from Centerfire Systems recently and it has the failing to eject (FTE) problem from day one I shot it. I sent it back to Wolf for a fix a few weeks ago. The gun smith at Wolf found no damaged or mis-assembled parts with the rifle and adjusted the "ejection rail". I received the rifle back on Thursday last week and test fired it on Friday with 120 rounds. I got 5 FTEs, as shown in the pictures. I noticed that the rifle's ejections had no consistency in distance and angle. In addition, some of the used cases were badly deformed or marked at multiple spots. I sent th

i know that the magwell is one of the great attractions for the vepr 12. however, i already have an s12, and a bunch of mags, and wouldnt plan on using the vepr for competition, and wouldnt want to throw down another ton of money for magwell mags. i know the differences of opinion and the arguments for and against the magwell. my question is, can the magwell be removed from the vepr12? if so, would s12 rock-and-lock magazines function properly in it? just curious. then i could use my drums and magazines i already have, and if i ever so desired, replace the magwell and buy the magazines for it.

"The Vepr 12 is gonna be the same as a Saiga12, but with rails and a thicker receiver. The ticker receiver doesn't matter by the way. The Saiga 12s use a thick receiver as well. Molot doesnt make higher quality shit by any means. If you didn't know, Russia makes its guns in its large factory complexes. The light vehicle (motorcycles, cars) plant at izhmash also makes the AKs and SVDs and Makarovs and maybe some other shit. The Molot plant makes heavy vehicles (tractors and shit), and also RPKs and other shit. The Vepr12 will have its bolt carrier broken just like the Saiga12 gets a

Hey guys, Just a quick question to the experts out here ... working on my Saiga .308 build, generally very happy with the rifle. I am curious though ... while researching specs there is some debate about the receiver thickness versus the VEPR model. Some claim it has a heavy barrel, some claim it doesn't, some claim the receiver is as thick as a VEPR, some say it is a standard 1 mm receiver thickness. Just trying to clear up some issues about S308 construction and durability. This guy on AR15 states: In the .308 version, both brands use the wider RPK-style trunnions (and thicker 1.5mm

Does the AK or VEPR do well in rain or will it start rusting immediately? I was looking at buying a Remington XCR (treated stainless steel), but just found out that there are a bunch of VEPRs out for sale around my area. I was wondering how they do in harsh/wet environments.... From what I've read, they have some sort of anti-corrosive finish. How easy is it to scratch and repair? Also, how does the wood stock hold up on the veprs?

Does anyone know if this break (molot GK-01) can be welded on a shortened barrel to make the OAL 18.5in? I've heard it was aluminum but has a Steel collar with treads.
