  1. Hello everyone, I'm new to the community. I purchased a Saiga 7.62x39 rifle from a local shop here in Washington, and then set out on the journey of converting it to not being stupid. Here's a picture if you're interested. This image is a little bit after the conversion process with the grip and before I finished threading the barrel and attaching the compensator and the bullet guide. Anyways, so, an idiot (myself) took his time drilling out the hole for the bullet guide screw, and then took his time with the tap, and, lo and behold, I broke it off inside of the gun. As seen i
  2. Hey Guys, So i picked up my first Saiga at the end of Nov used from a local guy for a decent deal. Came with a 10 round mag and a T6 stock/grip combo. I was going to hold off on the conversion but after feeling the trigger I knew it needed to be done sooner. And since I'm leaving this month for basic i wanted to make sure i had enough time to finish it before i left. The conversion cost me roughly $140 which includes the Tools i needed. And since i have access to a mill, lathe, and TIG welder at work, i did all the mods myself. I ended up using the T6 stock with the pistol grip removed sin
  3. so i found a new carrier for my saiga!!!! I hope that it will work correctly. I still have the old carrier and was wondering if there is anyone out there that can weld this better than my gunsmiths "professional" welder. if its not possible to weld this thats fine. I know some people are making short barrels so im willing to sell it if you want it. lemme know what the best thing to do is.
