  1. Hi, all I purchased my catamount fury 2 in January of this year and have been shooting at least every weekend, For some reason the gun will not cycle any type of target loads I buy. I've tried everything from Federal Target loads, Remington gun club, and Fiocci loads and none of them will work. It cycles high brass shells perfectly ! I've shot at least 25 of 30 rounds of high brass buck shot through it I have tried loads that have been 1145 Velocity to 1355 and none of them work. Any help would be greatly appreciated ! THANK YOU!!!!
  2. 01/06/14 UPDATE: Price dropped to $50 shipped. 01/02/14 UPDATE: Posting this on the Vepr Forum too now. Guys, this is a steal! Chaos had this rail at $85 + shipping over the holidays and I priced mine here to match that (-used item), but Chaos is back selling these at $99.99. Also, this thing doesn't even have a single major scratch on it. I even cleaned and lightly oiled it for you! I am selling this used Chaos tri-rail will all the hardware. It definitely has signs of use, but is in overall great condition. Because Chaos rails are modular, you can get a top or extended top rail from them and turn this into a full quad. Official product description: “Made for Saiga 12, the Chaos Tri Rail System is manufactured to highest standards in the industries. Our MIL-STD-1913 rails are made from aircraft grade 6061 aluminum alloy. Hard coat military specification MIL-A-8625 or Type III non-reflective black. Weight: 10 oz.” One caveat: It has a weaver sling adaptor attached to it (see pics) and the set screw which holds it in place is stripped, making it impossible to remove without tools. I thought about drilling or dremelling into the thing and removing it, but decided that someone might actually want that thing on there and think of it as a bonus. It shouldn’t be hard to remove if you don’t want it though. ASKING PRICE: $55 $50 (shipped via USPS First Class with insurance and delivery confirmation to the 48 Continental States) Payment: verified PayPal only, please. The rail will be shipped the next business day after payment is received (and cleared), using USPS with insurance and delivery confirm. I will provided you the tracking info ASAP. I ship fast and overdo it with the packaging. I am PayPal verified and have great eBay feedback. You can check it here: http://myworld.ebay.com/prizrakat First person who posts "I'll take it" and PMs me, gets it.* *I do reserve the right not to sell to people with no forum history or bad rep. Thanks for looking and please, don't hesitate to post or PM any questions! PICTURES:

  4. I have been working on this gun for a while now but I have taken this about as far as I am going to at this point. My main interest is in long range rifle so I need to create some money to support that expensive addiction. Here is my build thread for the background and pics. http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?/topic/76696-my-first-gun-project/ This is a fully functional gun, all unfinished work is mostly cosmetic or optional (back plate for folding stock for example) Some quick details on the current state. It's a bit scuffed up from being worked on, needs to be refinished. There is no rear plate still, I wanted to leave that option open for the next owner and not weld something on when they wanted something else. Wallmart bulk isn't that great, Federal is good at about 90% higher velocity cheap stuff works fine, 00 Buck is no problem, cycles 3" mags perfect (my shoulder wasn't happy about that though). Bear in mind that these results are shooting pistol grip only so it should be better with a stock. Recoil is no problem with the brake and auto plug combo. Parts are: auto plug, CSS conversion kit with CSS trigger guard, Tromix Monster Brake in the middle, highly customized UTG handguard (former quad rail), SAW grip, Tromix Extended Bolt on handle. Gas system shortened by 3.75" Holes for the mid brake are drilled so that if you cut the barrel off at the first one you would have a ~7.5" SBS or about 11" at the end of the Monster Brake.. I am willing to make videos with different ammo upon request and if you have a specific ammo type in mind I will work with you (within reason). Comes with factory 5rd, 2x 8rd, 1x 12rd and Promag 12 drum. Price is $1500 OBO shipped/FTF, open to partial trades Possible trade ideas: 223 reloading equipment (I like the turret presses), Saiga 223, G17 mags, good quality scope (Mil-Mil only, 12x or higher), rifle bipod, AR linear comp, Mossberg 500 recoil absorbing pistol grip stock, 10/22 bolt/trigger upgrades. Open to ideas! VERY interested in a high quality .308 suppressor. That's it, let me know if you are interested Thanks, John
  5. i know that the magwell is one of the great attractions for the vepr 12. however, i already have an s12, and a bunch of mags, and wouldnt plan on using the vepr for competition, and wouldnt want to throw down another ton of money for magwell mags. i know the differences of opinion and the arguments for and against the magwell. my question is, can the magwell be removed from the vepr12? if so, would s12 rock-and-lock magazines function properly in it? just curious. then i could use my drums and magazines i already have, and if i ever so desired, replace the magwell and buy the magazines for it. thoughts? opinions?
  6. I've had this gun for about 3.5 years. Bought it for 642$. The Saiga 12 has been my FAVORITE gun to shoot! I just converted this gun and this weekend I get to break it in agian! I moved the trigger group myself. But since I used the carolina shooters kits it was no problem. All I had to do was drill out the 3 rivets and everything else just bolted in. Anyone can do this. I shot a lot of video of the conversion and plan on putting it up on youtube. I used the tapco stock simply because I wanted this to be a simple DIY project. I didn't want to pay anyone else to mod my gun. The tapco stock just bolts on with no modifications to the reciever necessary. Here's what I did: Tapco g2 modified trigger kit from carolina shooters bolt on trigger guard from carolina shooters Modified bolt hold open from carolina shooters Tapco T6 stock Tapco saw grip UTG rail from cheaperthandirt GTI door breach break extended charge handle axis pin retaining plate (love this) Botach tactical 2 point sling http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MDYxplweJrY http://youtu.be/wmlWe25R4eA
  7. I never though I would have to ask this , but where is a good place to sell my saiga-12?
  8. I bought a saiga 12 2 years ago and i have had nothing but bad luck. Honestly it probably has a lot to do with the fact that this is my first gun and I have no idea what im doing when it comes to customizing it. Recently the Bolt carrige sheared at the piston insertion point and my Gumsmith is welding it together. I have been told that this is a bad idea but I dont know what els to do. I can't find a new piston/bolt/carriage anywhere. Im at the point where i just want to say f* it and start over. Any advice. (please be nice im totally new at this). Does anyone know where i can get parts for this gun? If worse comes to worse and I have to sell it is it ok to sell on this forum. I really dont want to sell it. I frikin love this gun, i just feel like its way out of my league .. espicially seeing the guns yall have on this site. thanks for your help
  9. Looking to purchase a Saiga 12 here in Idaho! Would rather buy from a private party but would also purchase from a gun dealer.
  10. I'm in market for purchasing my first Saiga 12 and I recently came across a used one for $750 that has had a full 922r. conversion done on it. It's had about 1500 rounds through it. And since purchased has only had a Krebs custom retainer plate added. I was also told I could test fire the firearm before purchase. My question would be is $750 for a used Saiga with 1500 rounds through it a good deal or a waste of money? Thanks in advance, I've posted a picture of the "said" Saiga below.
