We've been talking about it for a while and since we are going into production next week I guess a few pics wouldn't hurt. If you have one of our fixed versions and know how strong it is this is just as strong (Solid Billet). Same solid "L" channel legs for the PG nut to clamp. New adjustable mounting has been incorporated per customer feedback. Hook attachment point for sling just under the hinge. Same corrected geometry as out fixed version that keeps stock in line with barrel Constructed out of T6061 and steel. All contact points are steel, meaning no aluminum to wear in the hinge like oth

So, I read your nomination thread and thought that you might be the man to make this happen. I mentioned in another thread that a stamped steel stock that was compatible with an Ace folding mechanism would be a neat thing to have. I've been working on some paper prototypes that, with any luck, can be flattened into rough blueprints, but the actual stamping and welding of steel are beyond my capacity.

Tromix stock + Stormwerkz folding mech: am I doing it wrong?

I just received a Stormwerkz folding mechanism in the mail today. I've never used a folding mechanism before, but after reading complaints about the wobbliness that tend to afflict some ACE folders I decided to go with the Stormwerkz folder since it seemed like a better design. It was a smidge cheaper than the Ace too, that also helped the decision. Aside from the fact that the dark purplish finish doesn't really match the rest of the gun, it seems like a really solid piece and locks up tighter than a male bovine's posterior orifice.
