  1. I have a IZ433 (so basically an Izmash made Vepr-12) and it was having issues running cheap birdshot. The main problem was I had my red dot placed right in the way of the ejecting shells, causing misfeeds. I moved the red dot to the rear of the receiver and that definitely improved my reliability, however I was still experiencing jams or misfeeds every couple of magazines. I polished up the rails, hammer, and the part of the bolt carrier that contacts the rails hoping to get the degree of reliability I wanted using light loads. Now I experience a jam maybe 3-4 times out of about 100 shells. I
  2. Just did a search for 'recoil spring' and found a post from ChileRelleno dated October, 2012 that seems to answer one of my questions and wanted to see if anyone else could add to it. I shoot the heaviest slug loads out there and want to reduce the force of impact from the bolt carrier on the return-spring guide, which is significant. Already purchased and installed the Tromix Factory Full Power Recoil Spring, as sold by CSS (part # TRX-SPRING), at forward position, and am now considering purchasing a second Tromix Full Power Recoil Spring and installing it at the rearward position as a way
  3. In case anybody is wondering how to fix the bolt carrier to trunnion contact your answer is not a buffer..i tried one out and removed it and threw it away after 20 rounds..it was unnatural..my wolff extra power recoil spring arrived a couple days ago and i tested it out yestarday..no more extremly violent contact between the trunnion and carrier..i doubt it touches at all..
