patriot 7,197
Happy Veteran's Day! Free breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner tomorrow. There are LOTS of places offering free meals to veterans tomorrow, just make sure you bring ID (dog tags, DD214, Mil ID, etc) to prove you're a veteran. abcnews.go.com/Business/veterans-day-top-deals-freebies/story?id=26769921 It's great some businesses do this for us. I'll be very full tomorrow!

G O B 3,516
A day for those of us that made it home to remember the ones who did not. And those who came back broken. I raise my glass to the best of us all. Someday we will be able to raise a glass WITH them.

Rhodes1968 1,638
Like 99% of the guys in the military I was there to improve myself (or in reality dig out of the hole I had created in the short 18 months since high school after learning college was a scam). It is what is sold by the recruiters that is what is bought by the recruits. I kept my end, Uncle sort of kept his, I lived to enjoy it whole, no gratitude or further benefit sought. To all those like myself who find themselves a bit embarrassed over this recent custom, just grin say you are welcome and don't over think it, they sure didn't. So as to not get too dark lets just say the bill is bigger than that for the ones that do deserve thanks.
