toothandnail 275
Have a customer with a S12 with a broken bolt. Not sure why but I can't seem to find/get a hold of anybody who has, or makes a replacement. Anybody here that does?
pedal2alloy 206
R&R made a run of them but out of stock now. But you can ask them if they are making more http://store.randrtargets.com/Saiga-Bolt-S-32.htm
toothandnail 275
Why is there no aftermarket options ? From what I'm finding there are no parts for S12's
evlblkwpnz 3,418
Customer can buy a parts gun and sell off the rest. Selling off enough to get the bolt for cheap or free should be fairly easy.
ChileRelleno 7,071
I have a complete & new S12 bolt assembly that I picked up years back from Doug at the now defunct, www.avtomatsinaction.com He used to get S12 parts in on a infrequent basis, he always had the cool stuff.I bought my spare S12 Complete Bolt Assembly for $60.+S/H, IIRC. They're no longer available, haven't been in forever and likely never will be.I've often half joked that I'd sell my bolt assembly for $500.00 to those who managed to FUBAR their own.No one has taken me up on it... Yet. Evlblkwpnz has given you about the only option besides R&R.
Veprz 94
It looks like R&R's scratch built shotgun may be identical to a S12 as far as critical parts, so hopefully they will offer more complete bolts and carriers in the future. The hard part is already done, they have all the specs and cad files Im sure. To anyone else who has the means to make and sell bolts, extractors, both pieces of the firing pin assembly, extractor springs etc..make em, then take our money! I mean seriously can these importers even honor their warranties at this point? Do they have the replacement parts even availible for warranty repair? Extractor springs are just regular rifle extractor springs. Other than extractor springs, recoil springs and hammer springs, there really isn't anything else that will need replacing unless something stupid is being done with the weapon. Using weaker springs for prolonged periods changes that. My 6.5" SBS has had a couple of extractor springs in well over 10k rounds. I broke the carrier early on, but that was my fault for getting it too hot when filling the op rod hole for the shortened gas system. I quickly learned that I needed to address the op rod issue in a different way. The importer warranties are usually 1 year, so they are probably not concerned with it at this point.
