In all respects, we should let this be until he is in the ground.

He served, lets give him the respect that's due.

you guys have a great day

I will agree with this for now.  God rest his sole and thank you for your Military service and sacrifice.

I can't help but wonder if his illness had an effect on his cognitive ability and if it has how long has it. At least he is past it and could potentially be at peace now. Better is the end of a thing than its beginning, especially illness. Considering what he has been through he certainly had a strong will to survive. I have rarely been happy with him politically, but that is behind all of us now.

my wife died from the same thing ....yes with out a doubt it affects their cognitive ability...its how I diagnosed a new problem area in the brain each time a new tumor would pop up and took her to the oncologist for more brain radiation....I personnaly diagnosed 3 tumors teh oncologist said no she didnt have more new ones, a second opinion proved she did and more radiation was ordered

most people wouldnt know but those close recognize their thinking is up ended! and it went on for more than a year

everything seems fine but all of a sudden she couldnt balance a check book one day, or debit cards used to try and open hotel rooms your not even staying in, finding cell phones in the freezer now these are more obvious behavioral issues

but I can tell you in retrospect there were many more insignificant signs that affect her judgement......way before we got to that point, so yes his health  may have impacted the conservatives ..........(obama care)

rest is peace Mccain & I hope he is replaced by a REAL republican this time

It could have gone on for years before it really becomes a problem.  In my father's case, it may have gone on 10-15 years before it became a problem.  The first we really knew something was wrong was when he had seizures.  Possibly related was the cleanup at the Rockwell plant where my father worked.  The machining coolant used was found to cause brain tumors.  A number of the machinists developed brain tumors.  My father was in the shop all the time doing time studies.

After removal of my father's tumor, it was a 20 year decent into the hell of dementia until his death 2 years ago.

It certainly explains a whole lot of McCain's craziness in the last few years.

It also makes me wonder if he may have been more politically satisfying to his constituents had this not happened and he still had that same fire within him to stand up for conservative issues with the same zeal at which he did for liberal issues. He seemed to be a pretty good guy publicly in regards to worldly standards. I voted for him in '08, but that warrants no explanation given the circumstances. Well, it was meant to be and I am actually glad obama beat him. I think we needed to experience the liberal/socialist/communist boogeyman. Citizens know the reality of hardcore liberalism now and hopefully they will not forget for a very long time. If obama had a stronger work ethic and more courage the damage would have been much worse. The depth of obama's lies paints the picture of his fear of us.

He never did stand up for conservative issues, because he wasn't. He was big on defense, and that was the one point of intersection.

I never liked or trusted him, but I hope I'm wrong about his ultimate destination.

Well, none of us are absent sin. Hopefully, he pursued forgiveness with much zeal. I didn't like much of what he did here, but God bless him.

Very true, especially in his case. God will Judge.

As the press continues to champion McCain as a great man. Please remember the "The Keating Five"...

During this time he accepted money and trips from Keating. Along with McCain being the only Republican  too visit the regulators asking them to back off the investigation of Keating. In my personal opinion this speak volumes about his character...

First bailout of billions of dollars from us tax paying citizens to cover stealing and corruption from a Savings and Loan company the Keatng family corruptly operated. McCain's wife and father-in-law were in business with this corrupt individual before his conviction and subsequent prison sentence...

With all respect to a vet now in the ground . The true Rinos have come out.

From the grave he was a self centered  bitter man who would go out of his way to screw the republicans when ever he could.

Trump never would kiss his rear and would call him out for who he was. Most gave him respect for being a vet and that is about it.

He should have left congress when he was told he was sick for the good of his state and country but that is not who he was.

The dems praised him while cursing him at the same time and he never got it.

As for Trump! dredging a swamp to drain it is never a pretty thing. It is ugly and smelly and a lot of times your butt is surrounded by gators. But it is what it is, it has to be all of this if progress is being made
