twouvthree 0
Okay...would someone explain to me that when I fire my Saiga .223 (and .308), any and all bystanders feel that it is much louder than any of my other rifles? For comparison, I fired my AR w/ 16" barrel against my Saiga .223 (also w/ 16" barrel); same ammo. Others came by asking me what I was shooting? They couldn't believe it was a .223! Just wondering....
Onepoint 0
I dont know. I think they are loud too. But then my 16" AR doesn't lean toward being silent either. It gets worse wit ha muzzle brake on too. Just for comparison. My 16" AR when it had the Y comp brake on it was the absolute loudest rifle I have ever had, even with ear plugs. The Saiga was tolerable. I have another 20" AR, and it was quite a bit quieter than the Saiga. I notice the Saiga is still a little louder than the 16" AR still when shooting off the side of a pickup and it echoing back in the bed. Maybe it has something to with the way the gas is used to cycle it?
