Butts410 0
Hi all, new to forum but I just have a couple of questions. Used the search bar previously to figure some stuff out. I recently cleaned and lubed my saiga .410 and I cleaned the puck but I’m having a hard time trying to justify which side of the puck goes towards the barrel end of the shotgun? Should be fouled end Of puck towards barrel right? Cleaner end towards the stock? Also, I replaced the gas plus and threaded it down to the 1 setting, the the gas bolt has some some twist play left to right(tighten and loosen) Maybe a 1/32” almost like it’s allowing for adjustment before I depress the pin down? Threads nicely, just wondering if it has the play like that to allow for turning the gas setting easier? Will the wiggle allow for any issues when using the weapon? These are all stock parts by the way, thanks for your time!
YOT 3,743
If it's the factory puck it doesn't matter. I run the cleaner end toward the stock only to have it the same every time. Screw the plug all the way in until you can't. Back it out until the stop you want, 1 for high power loads and 2 for low power loads. The "play" is because of loose manufacturing standards. Have fun. G O B 3,516
Use anti-seeze on the blind plug threads. You will thank me.
