VGames 0
I recently purchased a new gas plug for my saiga 12 and now my muzzle shroud doesn’t screw all the way down anymore due to the gas plug being taler than my previous one. The new gas plug allows me to shoot cheaper high brass shells and is amazing. But I was wondering if there was any way to shorten the length of the shroud to screw it all the way down properly? It looks a lot like this one here: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/487796203365025328/ is the bottom of the shroud designed to be cut off if needed or would that damage the shroud. Should I look for a new shroud?

pedal2alloy 206
The shroud is cosmetic, so maybe just forget it? Put a brake or flash hider on instead
IndyArms 10,184
You have THREE OPTIONS. Keep the shroud, ditch the plug. Keep the plug ditch the shroud. Get a new plug to allow you to use the shroud, too. That's it. Those are your choices. Sorry.
IndyArms 10,184
Cutting the shroud will most likely cause you to ruin it... And then you won't be using it anyways... I'd look for a shorter gas plug, if you MUST continue to use the shroud. Personally I like them... So I'd look for a shorter plug.
