Jrm5204 0
I have some spare parts and I'm thinking about getting a .223 Saiga for a conversion down the road but I have a few questions. I know theese questions get asked alot, but I never see the mag question answered it's always someone saying yeah but or no but. To me it's a yes or no answer. 1. If you have the bullet guide that K-Var sells installed do the mags still have to be modified? I know Bulgy waffles can be tight at first but I mean mod the mag to get it to feed even with a bullet guide. I have a Arsenal SA-M5S that I could share unmodified mags with. 2. Someone told me the Saiga rifles don't have the optic rail is this true? My Saiga 12 has one and I seen some Saiga .223 rifles with rails in a thread below. Thanks, Joe
O.S.O.K. 0
1) YES - check here http://www.cross-conn.com/Saiga_Conversion/step_10.htm for great instructions - my weiger mags needed no modification to the rear catch though. 2) The Saigas do have the scope mounting rails.
