Captain Fun 2
Hi folks, I am new to this site but I don’t see much activity but I do see people asking questions regarding page status. I have questions about a Saiga 12, is anybody home that can help? Thank you.

Before S12 sources dried up this was a vibrant community with loads of solid, and also some BS, information. I learned a lot here over a decade ago that got my Saiga 12's running like Swiss watches. They eat light skeet loads up through 3", 1 1/4 ox Federal magnum slugs. Ufeful information is here, though you'll have to dig. It will be worth it.
Captain Fun 2
Hi Johnny, thanks for responding. I’ve been digging through the posts and there’s all sorts of things I want to comment on but I realize I might not get any response back, how sad! Every mod I want to make I look for the source and their websites are non existent. Ugh! Do you know of any other forums that deal with the S12? I’ve been looking but nothing comes up. Thank you, CF

Captain Fun 2
Johnny, just saw this, thank you, I will check them out. Maybe you have an answer, I am trying to find a way to install traditional style rear sights to my S12 I see VEPR and Daglioglu come with them, I have reached out to both companies but haven’t heard a peep. Dinzag was the guy but he is no longer. Also looking for a slant brake for the 12. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you, CF

Fun, My favorite brake is the Molot GK-01, linked here: https://www.carolinashooterssupply.com/MOLOT-GK01-VEPR-12-SAIGA-Compensator-Muzzle-Brake-p/css-vepr12-brake.htm Root around at Carolina Shooters Supply. I got a lot of my part here. Also, there are a couple of picatinny rails choices I use (having more than one Saiga 12), and they are the Texas Weapons Dog Leg Rail, and the Ultimak Gas Tube rail. There are many sight choices. Have a look and let me know what you think. JohnnyE
Captain Fun 2
Hi Johnny, thanks for those suggestions. I really am trying to keep it fairly minimumalist though. One reason is I just like the overall look of the slant brake, plus here in Commiechusetts having a brake like the Molot will land you in jail. Hell, the slant might land you in jail. I am also trying to find a screw on Polychoke, just because it’s a choke, not a brake or flash hider. I purchased a tall front sight post and will probably get a Marbles ghost ring, similar to the Krebs, again to keep it at a minimum. The gun came with a clamp on rail and red dot but I’m not crazy about the look. Here in this stupid state a pistol grip is verboten also. I really hate it here sometimes. Ugh, thanks again. Captain Fun out!
Captain Fun 2
Oh yeah, I checked out Lone Star, nice stuff but way out of my budget and illegal in this state!
JohnnyE 86
Mass, ugh. I need to think of the limitations. For the moment all I got is to sugges you root around CSS. Send me links to things that interest you and I may be able to comment. I made my upgrades 15 years ago, so It'll be a trip down memory lane. 21 hours ago, Captain Fun said: Johnny, just saw this, thank you, I will check them out. Captain Fun 2
Think of any possible limitation and we have them. Completely absurd. Birthplace of the American Revolution and all of our freedoms…NOT! If these photos come through you will see what I am talking about. Looks like success. These are stock features on the Daglioglu lineup. No way can I get a new one here, plus they are a Turkish company, I’m not sure I can buy anything from them. You know, genocide and all that. I am Armenian. Thanks for taking the time from your day.
