Anyone have any 2 round mags?

Recommended Posts

Does anyone have any 2 round mags or know where to get them? I will be doing some hog hunting and need the smaller mags to stay legal in management area that I hunt in.

Thanks

Pray... and you may get some reasonably.

Personally, I recommend that you DON"T buy the 2rd mags unless your state specifically states in its laws that the mag be physically incapable in any configuration that can accept more than 3 rounds (with one in the chamber). Most states allow plugs to limit capacity. Just use a short piece of wood and place it in the mag to restrict the 5 rounder to 2 rounds. You can get 5 rounders for $38 from FBMG.

I have exactley the same problem here and are looking for a pair of 2-rd mags (even 1-rd would be of interest if they exist).

The problem is not only the law, but also requirement from the sporting-club I'm in.

Has anybody seen an online-store, or private trader, that can ship to Europe said magazines?

I can pay using PayPal, or trade for 5-rd mags 1:1. Prefer unused or at least good condition.

Thanks!

We have that law here too but I believe it only applies while hunting birds.

I am looking forward to busting out the AKS-12 with a blocked 10 rdr this dove season just to see the shock and awe on the warden's face if he drops by...lol. :lolol:

I can make you an 8 and a 2 out of 2 - 5's. Or a 5 into a 2...

PM me.

That said I don't see why you can't block up the mag and be legal...

Being legal and and appear legal are sometimes two different aspects of the same stupid problem.

If you live in a country (not USA) where political corectness and socialistic values rule, then appearance might just be as important as how they actually work.

So if I show up at the range with something that even remotley resembles a 3-round mag, or - god forbid - even 5 or 8 (blocked or not), then I could consider myself outed of that club. My permission to keep and use a firearm is a matter of judgement by local police and anti-gun-people. A judgement that might change if they so see fit.

Local club membership is mandatory.

Therefore I need something that looks tiny (like 1-rd or 2-rd) to show off with.

When competing abroad, amongst friends, I use the regular 8-rd mags as usual. Them I have plenty of. So the 5'ers becomes sort of useles in between.

I've seen Dins work & I swear they look like factory produced mags when he finish's with em...

Estetic looks is not all that important in this case, as this is just a way to prove that I am compliant. Function is however a requirement, i.e. the mag must feed the single round reliable, as I prove compliance by participating in activities involving one or two shots being fired.

The 2 shot mags he makes ARE small in size..& look exactly like a "2/3 rd mag.....I probably did not make myself clear as to the description of what he does...please forgive me..cuz I'm a Texan & my english is a bit ..well..ya know..."TEXAN"......

& yes...I understand what'cha mean by how those club Officials can act like they have a long stick stuck up their ass/arse.... :lolol:

&..Dinz mags are very rekiable..

I believe you may have just coined a new term there StarLynx...Dinzmag

That sounds better than frankenmag...lol

And yes they are reliable and relikable...

I've used his method to make them myself. It was my idea to use the leftover parts to make the 2 rdrs and they work great. I saw some last week that another member made using the same method and they look and work great. He took 3 5rd S-20 mags and joined them into a killer dinzmag! I've got some spare 8 rdrs I'm getting ready to join myself.

Rolling Thunder you have my condolances on your oppressive situation. Why do you even need a mag at all? Just shove one in the pipe and shoot each time. Seems that would be easier than a mag change for just one round. If you buy one of the new last rd BHOs you could fire, reload, fire, reload fire...Or if you already have a factory BHO you can still do the same thing. Just push up on the button while you squeeze the trigger and the bolt will stay back. If you can't have a PG there you can use your middle finger on the trigger and hit the button with your index finger.

Thanks for the empathy!

Well, we are allowed to fire two rounds as you sometimes do when shooting clay. So loading the rounds manually into the gun will be a little tricky. The politically correct way of doing it is to load one round and then attach the filled mag (with the second round).

The BHO is a given next step - for better and quicker reloads when using high-cap mags. But I still need to show the socialists here that I actively comply (we have neither a constitution nor an amendment granting us any rights in this area).

Regarding the modification of mags... Is this a trade secret or would you like to disclose how you do it? Reason for asking is that I felt sending them two-way over the pond is actually more expensive than what a mag itself would be.

Sheesh, I feel for your situation bro! Same for the French guys stuck with their non-semi auto's.

I know my S-20 was looked at strangely last summer during trap leagues - more the synthetic furniture & pistol grip than anything. (10 rounder too  ) However they should be more respectful this year with the wood furniture me thinks!

Had a local guy running for state rep drop in yesterday out of the blue. I was in the lab getting down with the TIG and he walked right in. He was stopped and dumbfounded in awe of the beauty & magesty that is my Saiga shotties. Of course being a good citizen I figured I'd check out his pamphlet. Yup - Democrat. Here's my q's...

Do those scare you? :lolol:Actually those are pretty nice looking, are they M16's?

Actually they're Russian AK's. Huh. Are those legal to own?

Yup! Do you own any guns? Nope, but I used to hunt!

What is your opinion on the 2nd ammendment? Firearm ownership should be legal for hunting, I'm a sportsman myself!

What about just for the heck of it, personal defense, or competition shooting? Everyone should have the right to own them unless you are a criminal.

Would you vote with your party on anti-gun legislation? I vote for what's right for me and my family.

How about concealed carry permits? Hopefully you shouldn't need to carry a gun, that's what the police are for.

Thank you for your time! I may just have to vote now! :lolol::lolol:

Anyway, on to your question...

Oi! Click the link in my signature for the Tech Section. Cruise down to Cobra's post - I think he linked them. I have a couple posts on just what you want to do. Those were with S-20 mags, but the same principal works just fine with the S-12's. The 2nd one is where I did an 8 and a 2 out of 2 - 5's. Obviously the #'s will be different, but hey, it's free!

Hack it up & super glue to test capacity & function. Then plastic weld.

Dinzmags :lolol::lolol:

Thanks Starlynx & Cobra...

Me neither - but I sincerely hope that in the middle of some night soon he wakes up from a nightmare about this and has some time to think about it seriously. Maybe then he would vote for what is right for the rest of us - not just what he and his position can get (full time ARMED police protection) for his wife and kids.

Grrrrrr....

Thanks again - You guys rock!

I browsed the Tech Section a bit more and found a few interesting pieces there.

My next step towards increased PC will be to make a nice wooden stock and grip and remove the pistol grip (i.e. a conversion kit) so that I can appear at the l range and get no evil looks.

The cameleont S12...

I might just add some reptile skin while I'm at it.

I've got (2) I'd sell.

I apologize. But I have to get what I paid for em......40.00 each shipped.

Especially since you can't get em from Tantal/Doug Ford anymore.

pm me if interested.

I'm only selling those 2 right now though.
