Too bad we don't still use those monsters! Even Vladimir Putin himself said Russia has NOTHING that could stand up to an Iowa Class Battleship.

The AP had only about 200 pounds of explosives.  The rest of the weight was all the special hard steel required to make the thing an AP.  It had to be shot out of the gun at 2500 fps, travel over 10 miles, then be expected to punch though 6 inch thick battle ship deck armor, then wait a bit to punch through several more steel decks, then go off in the guts of the target.  Wow!

16" gun, 23 mile accurate range, there is a 22" thick fairing from a Japanese Battle Ship at the Naval Gun Factory in DC that was broken in half with a 16" round. The armor plate has a 16" hole drilled clean thru. Shell weighed up to 2.300#!

Damn, the wild bunch, hey DHunter nice kilt, in the last few weeks

I have seen few and eating some haggis and black pudding, my foreman

is a high Lander and he likes his haggis something I have eaten before

on NY but the one he made is home cook really good.

Any way some times you see nick names and people look

really different that you think they look.

Sounds like you’ve had quite the experience with haggis! It's definitely an acquired taste, but home-cooked versions can really elevate the dish. Black pudding is another one of those traditional foods that has a unique flavor. It’s always interesting how people’s nicknames give you one impression, but then they turn out to look completely different than expected. Funny how that works!
