David C. 1
Who makes the best cheap ammo for your Saiga rifle? Also, who makes the worst? Thanks David
chips 0
wolf has my vote.
aka108 0
Barnaul seems to be a little "cleaner" shooting in my experience. Cheetah is a bit more expensive, about 12 cents a round delivered. Cu jacketed, brass cased and shoots cleaner than any of the Russian brands.
J A 0
http://www.gzanders.com/bearammo/ Check the link Silver Bear and Brown Bear ammo are made by 4 different Russian companies. So saying one of them is better would depend on who the ammo you have was made by?
Black92LX 0
i would go for this stuff from aimsurplus. it's only 70 bucks for a case of 1000

ljv308 3
My 7.62 x 39 rifle eats up any brand without malfunctions. I prefer the Barnaul ammo because it shoots well and is pretty clean burning. I also will shoot Wolf Military Classic ammo.
GregM1 241
i know i am feeding the undead by adding to this thread, but i got some Monarch recently (which is made by Barnaul) and I did not enjoy it. It would be fine for plinking but it really lacked consistent accuracy. The widest groups I have shot with my gun.
Mullet Man 2,114
not trying to hi-jack but it is related.... i was at a gunshow over the weekend and a couple of the vendors had some Golden Tiger x39. they all were saying that it fed better, was a bit more consistent and was cleaning running then Wolf that they have previously used. anyone have any input about Golden Tiger? gtnichols 51
I like the golden tiger, followed closely by Brown Bear, then Wolf, wolf seems to burn dirty
