d00012 0
Thank you! Yeah, I'll get a more straight on profile of the rifle. Was trying to be artistic with my GoPro, haha!

fastmelodic 9
Update. Polished bolt carrier, TWS rail, Kel-tech SU-16B sight, UTG recoil pad + barrel clamp rail, and the Eotech 552. Still trying to decide on a weapon light, but it's pretty much done now Kinda meh lighting, my iPhone decided to finally use flash on the last picture... What true love looks like:
pjj342 632
I tried quite a few buttstocks and a couple handguards. I finally chose a magpul moe stock and kvar handguard. Also, pws fcs brake, uspalm battlegrip, utg qd side rail and a primary arms micro. It took me a little over two years (and some trial and error) to get this thing just how I like it. Heres my finished product

COAK 0
This is my first post. Thanks to the site and everyone on here, lots of great info. I converted this a while ago and thought I'd post a couple of pics. Someday I'll get around to plugging the holes. I have the plugs, just haven't put them in. saiga genesis 7.62 16
About to remove the cheap gun show impulse buy rail. i put alot of time into stippling the original arsenal handguard, and i liked it. am no longer running this optic so i dont want the weight. Notice my rigged single point sling mount
philip271 7
nice side folder COAK. when folded, looks like the stock is blocking the trigger? maybe have it go to the left instead? or is the side rail mount in the way?
pjj342 632
I like the cheek riser. Does it work well? If this post was directed at me, Then Ha, you called it a cheek riser. I like to call it a piece of foam from an ice scraper and two zip ties. But yes it does work well. Its durable enough, water proof and gives good padding and traction on my face. Its about the cheapest, most comfy solution for collapsible stock. Here are a few new photos of my Saiga Underfolder! Very nice stuff neighbor. I like to know that others in my home town are armed to the teeth.
COAK 0
Thanks all. It's a Bonesteel hinge. Great piece of work and service/shipping by the way. I could have and maybe should have ordered one that folds to the left since I don't use the mount anyway. It can be fired while folded, but you can't work the bolt or the safety when its folded. The bolt will clear and function, you just can't charge it or clear it. It is nice for storage and transport though. Thought I'd add this. Has inspection date of Nov.15th 2011, dimpled but muzzle threads were DIY. Edited December 13, 2012 by COAK
VEPR12 11
I have a 100% bone stock IZ-132. I have it for several years. I'm contemplating adding an optic...I really don't want to mess with it as it runs great and does the job, plus I don't want to contend with the legal crap I'll encounter in CA and with 922r so stock she stays. Remek 771
I am new here, but here is the current state of my 7.62x39 conversion: Its a Tapco conversion, and I find myself unsatisfied. I grew up with this weapon being the bad-boy russian's weapon of choice, and I need it to be closer to that weapon. So, I have ordered the replacement gas tube, and wood laminate furniture (could not find any solid wood available), for a closer conversion. Give me a year, and it will likely be full-on conversion, I am picky that way.

Remek 771
Oh, I so do want it like that, Rich! Very nice! I bet I will be cutting the gas block and FSB soon! That looks so awesome!
theorangeplanet 968
Here's my finished IZ-132. I use 'finished' loosley, but we all know what that means, anyway... It still needs to be slung and sometime next year I'll put a quality optic on it. The camo is just rattle canned Rustoleum with a Krylon clear matte, but I baked it on pretty good so it should be fairly hard. I'm debating continuing the camo pattern onto the furniture... we'll see how its current look grows on me. One last note, color matching dark earth is a bitch... six different brands' version of the color on there and, while a few are close, none really match. My next gun will be plain OD... everyone seems to be on the same page with what that color is. Edited December 16, 2012 by Risky

NM0 586
Pleased with the evolution of my first Saiga. Picked it up in 07 and took about a year before conversion (post #462). Did a few months with a first gen T6.
Remek 771
Some sweet tactical conversions! I recieved my Timbersmith furniture and AK74 gas tube and bracket, so here I am! Generation 3 of my conversion! Looking a lot more like the baddies' favorite toy from the 80s! I am pretty sure I will be ordering the FSB and GSB soon!
