The best version of Saiga, but it is against russian law, because the minimal lenght must be 80 cm, and this one may shoot with folded buttstock. Sometimes we have a possibility to buy it illegal on plant (in documents it lists as legal 040) about USD 2000-3000. Now that it's functional, I thought it deserved some pic's. I'm getting ready to convert it once I finish the proper furniture. The keyhole stock was a prototype to see if I could get away without converting it. Even though it handled much better than stock, after converting my .223, the 12 is definitely next. The two additions to this weapon are: *Filled buttstock with hot glue (the rubbery kind) to add weight, strength and integrity. *Added a Chinese sling with leather tabs (Midway USA) which is about all that will fit those tiny sling loops. I also bought several of the Taiwanese 5rd mags (from this site) which I like better than the original Russian mag. Quote Link to post Share on other sites

I think the only mods I'd like to make would be to add a pistol grip, and maybe get a scope. Maybe. In the photo, my buddy Pete is holding the rifle.
