admbleg 35
I know it's not my Saiga 12 just my AGP mags that I painted. I used a Lucky 13 skull stencile for airbrushing I just used regular spray paint for the mags.
ocalapete 0
Updated: Got mine in Oct 2010. Put over 1,000 rounds through it to break it in. Just converted. All parts from Carolina Shooters Supply: 1) T.A.R.G.E.T. Auto Plug - tuned this in during one session of over 200 rounds 2) Tromix extended bolt on handle 3) Conversion kit #2: Tapco stock, Tromix DIY trigger guard, Hogue grip upgrade - the Hogue grip rocks! 4) Bolt-hold-open kit - replacement plate which is notched to accommodate the safety lever. 5) Axis-pin retaining plate - The safety lever would not fit in when using this. The hole for the safety lever would not line up with the hole in the receiver. And there was not enough space to slide in the safety lever while the bolt-hold-open plate was tied into place with the front axis pin in place. So instead I used the shepherds crook axis pin retaining spring which came with the conversion kit. 6) Limb saver pad - really really works 7) CSS tri-rail #1 8) Magpul AFG 9) Leapers UTG LED Tactical Flashlight 200 Lumens 10) MD Arms 20 rnd drum mag. 11) Stripped and repainted receiver, barrel, gas tube & block, dust cover with Aluma Hyde II matte black. spenceman 5
Meet Shelby, she started two years ago as a cheap plastic Tapco Conversion, and now she's done. Did almost everything myself, aside from sending the bolt, bolt carrier, and trigger off to Cobra for a polish, he also moved the charging handle for me. Great work and great service on his part. Here's a closer shot of the JT Magwell (AGP) that I blended, and the DIY extension on the Safety lever. It seems I missed a spot with the paint, I'll fix it this weekend. All in all I'm glad it's done, I've learned a ton through the process (mostly buy once, cry once), but this forum has been an indispensable resource, thanks guys! turtsoup 0
Been lurking around for quite a while now, this is my first post. Thanks a bunch for this great site and information. Couldn't have finished my first conversion without this place and you guys. Thanks to Cobra for his bolt work and information, he is an awesome business member. Been making sure to use the search function for all info not to get on anybodys nerves lol. Figured this would be a great place to start and get some pics up (if i can figure out how). Still not completely finished but here's what i've got so far. Thanks again guys

702Saiga12 6
Just finished duracoating this saiga..its one of 4 that i have 5 if my order through red dragun goes through...this took me the whole day to paint with prep work, and waiting for coats to dry..There are some parts where the paint has peeled back off to the metal when i was removing the vinyl decals..im probably gonna sand blast it back to metal, and use molly coat..im not to happy with this paint job..Im sending off the bolt and carrier to get polished and have a galil charging handle welded in place..I shouldve done the colors different too..I dont think the colors were right either..there should be more tan, and it looks really blue. All in all, its not bad, but its not perfect... Edited April 22, 2011 by J702

The gun is completely tuned and runs all types of ammunition with 100% reliability....I'm talking Federal blue box 1 oz birdshot at walmart for $4.67/25 box. Next round of mods: AK 100 series polyfolder and barrel chop to 11". Getting it to run birdshot after that should be interesting
