It is a pretty rifle, but I can think of several rifles I'd rather have for that kind of scratch, the first being a Leitner-wise AR.

But if I did have enough money to wipe my ass with 5 dollar bills, I'd buy that Sig really quick!

I skimmed over it but didn't see a price. What did it end up being? I don't care much for the area around the action on that left side. Reminds me of an AR-180.

Retail is $1299.

Compare that to the Bushy piston operated AR that's $999 for just the upper! Then you have to add a lower receiver, a parts kit, a pg, a stock, and you'd not have the railed forarm...oh yea, and it'd not be a Sig. Granted, it's made in the US, but I'm betting it's still designed and manufactured better than the Bushy equiv.

Yeah I kept hearing $1300. Saw people online selling them before they were even available. Not as much as I would expect being a Sig, but still not worth it yet to me. Nice rifle though. I like the piston driven system everyone's going to. Wonder what the HK 416 will sell for? :dollar:

Unfortunately, it won't be sold.

I want to see a head to head performance comparison between a converted Saiga .223 and the Sig 556. I'd bet money that it couldn't spit out a half case of Wolf 62g steelcase w/o an FTE or FTF.

There's already enough bitching on the SigForum that the 556 doesn't live up original 55x models. Most of those complaints seem to be the 'metrosexual fashion' quips.
