Scope mounting suggestions

Recommended Posts

I have been shooting my saiga with my little ole bare eyes for quite some time. then a friend dropped by and offered me a great deal on a trijicon ACOG scope. this is what i see being used a lot on the news in iraq. i figured i would try to figure out how to mount it later. well..... now is later. i am clueless on how to get the scope mounted. seems that it will mount on the side, but where do you get the "stuff" for that? bottom line, what all do i need to get to get this ACOG mounted? many thanks

Looks like you will need one of these... http://www.trijicon.com/user/parts/product...mp;categoryID=3

Mount that on an Eastwave or Belarus AK sidemount that locks on your factory siderail. It will be removable with return to zero when remounted.

thanks for the quick replies!

i actually have the part that fits on the ACOG unit already. still unsure about the part or parts that fit on to the rifle. also, have been checking out this site after i posted yesterday and it seems that eye relief is important. am wondering if others have mounted this system to the saiga and if eye relief has been a problem. this unit is pretty small all in all and seems like most of the scopes i have seen are pretty long. so, two items: 1)sources for mounting systems ( internet addresses for sources would be fantastic) and 2) eye relief. thanks again for the help!

Go here and click on mounts in the products catagory.

Here's a place that has the original Saiga mounts. There were several different designs with different eye reliefs.

Some more choices.
