cma g21 3
I can not get the bolt head reinstalled. I can get it back together but the rollers are locked and won't allow me to reinsert into the receiver. Can someone please help me with the reassembly of this bolt? Thanks guys ETA: See post below for better explanation. Edited August 26, 2009 by cma g21
nalioth 405
Insert the bolt carrier group into the receiver backwards. This will pop the rollers in and allow you to install it correctly.
lbsrdi 1,078
Backwards? Seriously? I hope I get this fixed, really frustrating. Thank you guys for trying to help me.
cma g21 3
Backwards? Seriously? I hope I get this fixed, really frustrating. Thank you guys for trying to help me. The rollers are out because the locking piece is in the fired position, and is pushing the rollers outward (this is what 'locks' the bolt while the round is being fired). To insert the bolt into the receiver, the locking piece must be in the rearward (cocked) position (where it is not pushing the rollers outward). Check this out for an illustrated view of the method nalioth suggests: http://personales.jet.es/rafa/CFD/e_FieldAssembling.html
