Ironhorse 0
Well, this past week I put on a side mount scope mount and scope (high mount). Now I need a cheek piece thats high enough for me to get a good cheek weld. So I'm asking what type and where at. Thanks. By the way its on a 308 with the factory stock. G O B 3,516
I have the high mount, and whatever I try it is less accurate than iron sights. Time to rethink the whole set-up. Maybe get a russian 8x scope/
30-40krag dude 2
heres a cheap idea, but its what i used when i had a high mount. i used a piece of black foam pipe insulation. i used 2 small strips of adhesive velcro to keep it in place. it doesnt look "tactical" but it works. G O B 3,516
I've tried a half dozen combinations of foam taped on to find the propper height. None have been effective. I think it is a combination of the mount AND rings are too tall. Compounded by the eye relief being off. Next try will be short rings and move the rail on the base. BattleRifleG3 16
If you want a new wooden stock, I can integrate a cheek rise according to your preferences.

I had one on my bulgarian slr95 and the color and grain match perfect. I had to do about 3 mins. worth of sanding. they also fit perfect on the H&R heavy barrel gun.
