Lumpy223 0
I finally got around to getting video up from the bear I got in 2005 using the Saiga .308. Thought some of you guys might get a kick out of it. He ran about 20 yards after the shot and dressed out at 330 pounds. Edited February 8, 2007 by Lumpy223
SEG21 0
Nice looking bear! What type of round did you use? Weight and construction? I hope to do some black bear hunting next year, trying to make my mine up on what rifle to use. 45/70 Lever, Saiga .308 or Savage .338 Winmag, but it looks like the Saiga did well for you. shaneman153a 39
Thanks for that, I had doubts about cutting my barrel down to 16" because of the loss in velocity, but after seeing that, I'm pretty sure it'll handle my hunting needs.
Vermiform 26
Good shot on that godless killing machine! Somebody has been watching some leftwing propaganda disguised as a comedy show. It's ok, I have a Colbert Report fetish too.
dinzag 31
Nice! Another Michigan bear taken out before it had a chance to murder defenseless hunters. You are lucky you didn't get eaten. It was coming right for you!!!
Lumpy223 0
Thanks guys. The optic is a Kobra sight. Ammo used was Remington Core Lokt 180 gr. PSP. It did a nice job as the top of his heart was shredded pretty good.
