Bad Bob 0
There's a thread about swapping pistons in a .308 Saiga, that ended up (somehow) in the .223 forum: http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?showto...mp;#entry120901 Any knowledgeable input would be much appreciated... Thanks! ;>)
O.S.O.K. 0
I think its pretty obvious. Drill out the dimples and drill more if it doesn't move... I've done several standard aks and its more a matter of punching the pin and unscrewing with them - placing the new piston, drill new pin hole and replace pin. But why screw with the piston - other than to keep the standard config stock and fcg? A pg conversion eliminates the need for the piston change.

It would be nice to be able to dish out the face of the piston as well. Of course, that's the Garand/M14 side of me speaking. Basically: to install a match-grade piston... assuming you could find one.
