auburn 1
I've been studying the tutorials in preparation for doing a conversion. Am I right that I need new pins to hold the new FCG in place (since the old ones get drilled out)? Where do you buy them? Is it a good idea to buy all new springs rather than trying to recycle the originals? Again, what's a source? Thanks/
IndyArms 10,186
The pins you will use for the FCG are already in the gun, you will be REMOVING THEM and SAVING them... They are the ones that currently hold the hammer and the part with the disconnector. The pins you are REMOVING AND THROWING AWAY are the two that are in the REAR... that hold the trigger and the rocker mechanism. NO WORRIES.... you DO NOT NEED to buy any new pins. scoutjoe 276
Re-use the saiga springs too, ain't no purpose in throwing out something that is in good condition
TonyRumore 1,332
If you buy a G2 fire control group from Tapco, it doesn't come with the disconector spring, so you will have to cut up the OEM disconector block to get it out. If you buy the FCG from Tromix, it comes with a new spring and the hammer is already modified to drop right in the BHO guns. Tony
