Cobra 76 two 2,677
Nice lookin .308 there! Good photography too. You must have read my mind. I was thinking the same thing just yesterday. Hopefully we can keep it mostly pictures and it won't get JACKED by a bunch of talk about 20 rd mags. Let's see em guys! I need to get some better ones of mine. These will do for now. Saiga .308 with 21.8" barrel, BHO, used to have wood Saiga furniture. Cut the receiver and installed a Vepr Stock and forearm. The forearm was harder to make work than the stock, had to make a bracket to connect to the forearm retaining pin and make another bracket to extend the rear into the receiver far enough to get a screw in it. Worked great. She's tight! BP-02 low profile Russian side mount High profile scope rings to get the 50mm scope to clear the rear sight for takeoff. Barska 6.5-20 X 50 varmint scope with sunshade Tapco G-2 FCG FBMG 20 rd mags and factory 8 rdrs Universal barrel clamp bipod with quick release. Butler Creek padded sling with cartridge loops Hopefully soon to be added-- Tromix Hexagonal shark style brake Man I could swear we already did one of these threads...lol Is there an echo? TEXASAK73 13
Damn Bob that is short!Looks cool, how big is the fireball when you fire it? I should have my scope by Friday and my bi-pod late next week.I'll have new pics of my 22" soon. Cobra, you cut the receiver? The Saiga looks great with the Vepr wood. But you actually cut the receiver?Kinda drastic don't you think? That wire stock made me wince when I saw the first pic.I just don't like those suckers and on a S-308 ouch! Great looking S-308,I want to get another carbine.

getitat 609
Hello Here's my .308, like most of you, no matter how often it's posted, "enough is never enough...." 16" carbine originally w/ factory thumbhole Drag-type stock RPK windage adjustable rear sight IOR Valdada CQB scope and mount (Vepr model mount) Badass Dinzag lower handguard retainer w/ AK gas tube and AKM US made furniture (K-var) RSA single hook FCG Tromix gas piston wanting to be in the party, but Guido couldn't get the old one out... Ace SOCOM adjustable stock w/ hinge on internal Ace block and 1" recoil pad (It's a "spacer", dammit!) TDI grip (I think...from Ace) Greta the GWP Rescue says "Hi!" I need to disassemble the lower HG and paint the exposed S/S heat shield black.... These are before my Dinzag handguard transformation.... TEXASAK73 13
Looks good and it adds another inventive twist to our beloved S-308. Saigas are almost like crack but much more fun and you don't have to suck someone dick to get one. Well here are some pics of my S-308 Saiganov with the new scope, just waiting on the bipod. busy_squirrel 1
Tromix 308 SBR. I don't see that on the Tromix site, but it'd look great in a holster on the gas tank of my scooter. Got a price range so I know how much to scrap together before I contact Tromix, or was it a one-time deal?

What scope do you have on it? It's a Loopy Mark 4 M2 3.5-10x40mm clone from Hong Kong. It's still a $200 scope and having had it and a real Mark 4 (except that the mark 4 had the new angled light switch) I couldn't see any difference in clarity whatsoever. At the time I bought it the real Mark 4s had the switch at 12:00 still. It's a great scope, the BDC works correctly and the zero has never budged. That's an ATN ultra compact digital sight(or something like that) mounted above the scope. It's a nice little red dot for quick shots inside 100m. I also have a Leapers 10-24x50mm AO illuminated reticle scope on a different mount that's pretty neat for a cheapo scope. Edited February 25, 2007 by DaGroaner

It's the medium length Ace skeleton with a 1" recoil pad. I don't care for it all that much to be honest. I like the Ace stocks on my other AKs but not on this one. I just bought a CAA M-4 6 postion stock and an Ace pignose adapter but I think i'm going to get either an SR25 or a Magpul adjustable stock for it.

macbeau 902
Mine... Schweeet, macbeau What kind of front sight? What kind of handguards? Did they require extensive mod's? TIA, guido2 in Houston Thats the factory FSB with a modified H&K G3 FH welded on. The Hand Guards are TDI with a Dinzag LHG retainer and an AK-74 gas tube. Other than tig welding the FH to the FSB, none of it was too hard or extensive. My FSB is currently with Dinzag getting reamed out and I will be adding a different flash hider. This time, it'll be threaded on.
