bigboi23847 1
Here is my first (and last!) Saiga .308 conversion. Major thanks to Dinzag for the parts and answering all of my noob questions.
jeepranch 16
First 308 conversion was pretty standard, tapco side folder plastic stock, stock hand guard, US black pistol grip, for my oNumber one Son, he did most of it(wow is he good at putting those BHO springs in) Tromix trigger guard. I went another way with mine. Stock bakelite handguards, ace side folder and bakelite pistol grip. Still working the flash hider issue, hope to find a cheap alternative that works and is attractive. Darth AkSarBen 20
My .308 after I got done with moving some of the "furniture" on it from the .223. I re-did the .223 with dark earth tone color fore grip,PG, and butt stock (Tapco collapsible) which makes it a very different look for each of them. Targets??? Working on a few loads. Some successes. Shot one just yesterday that measures around 0.701" at 100 yards. Trying out some more loads tomorrow.

Right now, only one 25 rounder. I am going to remove more material to allow 2 magazines.

Deussne 38
I just dont know about a telescoping ar type stock on an ak.. Just too wierd for my taste, but if you like that. Never less great looking conversion.
DrGonZo 157
If I had my druthers, I'd have a Magpul precision shooting stock. But the Tapco was the only option at first. The nice rubber pad is much preferred over the factory plastic stock in my opinion.
Deussne 38
Thought I would give you something to look at. BTW the rifle is for sale.
Darth AkSarBen 20
Very nice looking rifle, Andrey, and excellent looking scope!! The scope mount is a bit different from those using the side mount. Bet it shoots great!!
concretus 0
Thought I would give you something to look at. BTW the rifle is for sale. Have you shot it for accuracy? How much??
Cobra 76 two 2,677
Nice rifle. How about some details on the magazine?
Deussne 38
Just a 10 rounder from Cspec. I got one 10 round and 3 20+ round mags. Plus the OEM one. Once you start firing that thing at a range all sorts of people come runing to see what makes a big bang.

Bayoupiper 738
Now that's different. I wonder if we could talk someone into making a smooth oval perforated hand guard like that.
smartbomb 133
this is the start of my 308. got the pg conversion done. looking to add a mount or some optics, get a trigger guard and a muzzle break/flash hider.
esource 4
My Saigas all w/Tapco: 5.45 x 39 .223. 7.62 x 39 .308 Edited November 23, 2009 by esource
DaveS308 0
.308 with PVS-4 and IR Light Awesome! Here's mine:
esource 4
My .308 Conversion. Tapco/Tromix Trigger...very nice vs. original and bolt hold open drops right in. BTW...Welded/riveted trigger guard removal is a bitch compared to .223, 7.62, & 5.45 that are only riveted. Going to try Choate Dragunov stock although I really like the cheek weld with the Tapco collapsable. Will update as it evolves. BTW...Carolina Shooters is quick with their shipping and service and it was one stop shopping for Saiga. Edited November 25, 2009 by esource

volkov 318
magazines count as 3 compliance parts.. You still need to satisfy 922r.. just you can count US magazines as 3 parts.. makes it easier
