Where to get Saiga 12 accessories

Recommended Posts

Accessories like...what? Currently there are no custom parts on the market for S-12 shotguns, AK stuff is adaptable, RSA triggers work. If you want to go outlaw, AK stocks will fit it, with a little work you could probably adapt a Choate Druganov stock to it. Stick a red-dot scope on it, you can find chokes (if you have that model) various spots on the web listed in other posts.

I'm working on a Saiga entry weapon for a LEO contract and making a lot of stuff for the Saiga prototype I'm working on. With a little bit of skill and an eye for detail, anyone with a dremil can improve the sights and stick a rail system on the bottom handguard. As my USAS-12 mags are still on order, I cant tell you for sure, but I've heard rumors that 10rnd USAS mags can be filed to fit the Saiga, but once again, thats going pirate and its strictly on your head.

I suppose foregrip fixed surefire would be the best solution but there is no such product for AK/Saiga in their list

(or http://botachtactical.com/surefire618f.html - it's QUITE cheaper)

There is quite cheap solution (and they almost always sending it without clamping bar threaded holes!)

This is definitely worse than any "real man" milspec surefires and so on but this pedalized streamlight scorpion named "TacStar Weapon Light System 2000" (!blah blah blah!) works fine for me. Except it was necessary to fix contact wire in tailcap (had replaced it with more flexible and longer wire) broken after heavy recoil with magnum loads I suppose. So if you able to put some work in it It will work quite fine for you.

also available from cabelas

and maybe from some disserent sources

They also selling Pressure Switch End Caps for miniMAGs, Surefire 6p

A lot of weapon flashlights can be seen at botach.com

http://botachtactical.com/flastac.html

But none of this "real tough guy" weapons these flashlights can be installed is available to me and no weavers on my gun's foreend so I'm quite glad to have TacStar's solution.

Lasers... I don't think shotgun need a laser dot. Flashlight focused beam is enough for me to see the place where buckshot will find it's target.

Hi Dave

I decided to post my reply here too

It [TacStar stuff] survive during shooting session when I fired about 150 shell and 50 of them was "magnum" (3"). I don't know is it enough or not. But considering recoil and barrel heat I fasten it very tightly. But you need to do it very carefully (tighten one screw a bit, then another, then first again etc), bacause some time ago I broke one clamp because I tighten it irregularly or that was just a bad clamp.

One of my friends who didn't tighten this thing enough got tailcap wire broke (same as my earlier) and lamp goes out from socket. That was not fatal but I cannot say this system is absolutely ready right from the box and reliable if you didn't install it carefully.

The only way to get this invaluable [there was mistype in letter] weaver rail below the handguard is the convince some small US manufacturer (You know - like Krebs, Ultimak etc.) to make the custom part. I wonder if someone could do it because I'd rather spent some $M but get more reliable and universal solution like rail to mount accessories there.
