Ive been shooting my M44 mosin nagant a lot lately and decided to try some stripper clips ,

but I cant seem to use these fuckng things for the life of me , they go flying out sideways

most of the time , is there a technique to this shit ? I thought the S-12 was hard enough to load

maybe I need lot a practice

First off are you using original or repro clips?

I have some repros that my primary mosin hates, but i also found some originals on some east german x54r (to which i promptly bought them all up).

anyways i get the clip in the front of the bolt, push down on the back of the rounds while pulling the tip of the bullet up. Once I get that first one going the rest usually follow suit. Its not really that hard, but its different and there is the option that maybe your gun dosen't like those clips.

i got the repros, too, and both my mosins HATE them.

I find it's just easier to hand-load 5 rds than to mess around with them.

maybe if i find some originals, I'll give them a try, but until then they're more trouble than they're worth.

jmho.

There are some good clips out there, and some real DOGS! The creases that make the channel for the rims have to be sharp. The cheap ones have more rounded bends and are worthless.
