I have some repros that my primary mosin hates, but i also found some originals on some east german x54r (to which i promptly bought them all up). anyways i get the clip in the front of the bolt, push down on the back of the rounds while pulling the tip of the bullet up. Once I get that first one going the rest usually follow suit. Its not really that hard, but its different and there is the option that maybe your gun dosen't like those clips. 44rdv4rk 0
i got the repros, too, and both my mosins HATE them. I find it's just easier to hand-load 5 rds than to mess around with them. maybe if i find some originals, I'll give them a try, but until then they're more trouble than they're worth. jmho. G O B 3,516
There are some good clips out there, and some real DOGS! The creases that make the channel for the rims have to be sharp. The cheap ones have more rounded bends and are worthless.

Trust me, I have tried everything I could think of to get them to work and no go.
