KySoldier 2
That's got to be some sort of record...even for California. She got 45 days, reduced to 23 in a special jail, served 5. What would she get for murder, 6 months probation? Geez, they made Martha Stuart wear and ankle bracelet.

DaGroaner 2
I'm from L.A. and what's really fucked up here is that if she was average Jane Doe she would NEVER have gotten a jail sentence for what she did in the first place. I have a family member(R.I.P.) that didn't get jail on his sixth DUI in that city. They don't have enough resources for the real criminals in that hell-hole let alone Paris Hilton or anyone that actually PAYS taxes for that matter. It's a mess but for people to think Paris was deal with leniantly is wrong. It's funnier than hell how different the perception can be from the reality. Even where I live now I can look at the court sentencings for DUI while suspended and without insurance and even here in hicksville everyone gets a suspended sentence. We have Meth to thank for turning so many people into violent sociopaths. I see them all over... they are like real life Zombies.

In Portland, OR they make the car thieves they catch sign a promise to appear(citation) and let them go. They had one on the radio who was caught in a stolen car and kicked loose three times in one day. We also had som meth-head try to steal live high voltage wires coming out of a power station for the copper... a passer-by called 911 to report a burning body at the power station. Zombies... gatorgunner 0
Well it sounds like the Judge is pissed! LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- Hours after Paris Hilton was sent home under house arrest Thursday, the judge who put her in jail for violating her reckless-driving probation ordered her into court to determine whether she should be put back behind bars. Hilton must report to court at 9 a.m. Friday, Superior Court spokesman Allan Parachini told The Associated Press. "My understanding is she will be brought in in a sheriff's vehicle from her home," Parachini said. Superior Court Judge Michael T. Sauer issued his order after the city attorney filed a petition late Thursday afternoon questioning whether Sheriff Lee Baca should be held in contempt of court for releasing Hilton on Thursday morning... City Attorney Rocky Delgadillo complained that he learned of her release the same way as almost everyone else -- through news reports. "It is the city attorney's position that the decision on whether or not Ms. Hilton should be released early and placed on electronic monitoring should be made by Judge Sauer and not the Sheriff's Department," said Jeffrey Isaacs of the city attorney's office. Sauer himself had expressed his unhappiness with Hilton's release before Delgadillo asked him to return her to court. When he sentenced Hilton to jail last month, he ruled specifically that she could not serve her sentence at home under electronic monitoring. Parachini said Sauer reminded the Sheriff's Department of that when he learned Hilton was about to be released. "He reiterated the terms of his sentencing order. He did not agree to the terms of release that the sheriff proposed," Parachini told the AP before Delgadillo asked that Hilton be returned to court. But, Parachini said at the time, it is the sheriff and not the judge who decides when inmates are released from jail. Delgadillo's office indicated that it would argue that the Sheriff's Department violated Sauer's May 4 sentencing order.
Bill 0
Hey tons of people here get suspended sentences due to over crowding and other issues...If Paris is going to have to serve 40 days house arrest with an ankle bracelet then so be it. One reason for her also not serving her 45 days in the jail is that there have been MANY threats to beat the crap out of her and even kill her...that I find is BS, people who say that are just jealous and want to get some publicity for THEMSELVES-look I beat the crap or killed Paris, her looks are gone she will never make any more money in tv or movies,etc.. Yes she is rich, yes she may be spoiled(if any of us were as rich, would not a # of us act like asses,be arrogant, etc?????) But she does work-does commercials,tv series, movie here and there, etc and she makes money for her employer(TV station, movie co., whoever) and she gets paid for doing it...... I guess what I am trying toi say and put in perspective is-- 1- people drive drunk, without licenses ,no insurance, have suspended licenses, etc EVERY day and get away with it for a time, the problem with being a celeb is that you have the fukking photographers everywhere-hell maybe even in the toilet bowl, and anything they do is caught on film. I could not live with THAT crap- I would be kickin the crap out of the camera guys or worse..... If this episode would be the worst thing that is wrong with the screwed up legal and justice(?) system in this country ,great, BUT this system is SO screwed up in larger ways that a person being a dumbass and having to do house arreest then fine. Time for the system to go after the REAL crooks-drug dealers, child molesters, gangbangers, car jackers, illegals who maim, steal, rob ,and kill USA citizens and all the other 'cream of the shallow end of the gene pool. One final thing-POLISHITINS and CEOS in corporations ruin more peoples lives and get away with way worse things then movie stars and celebs could ever dream of-like murder, ruining peoples financial lives, lie in court, you name it and you come up with the names..
