Okami 0
Looking to get one to replace the sporter style stock i have now. How well do you guys like the ones that you have? How well do they balance and general info on things that you like/dislike about them. Thanks! ~Okami
loki0629 55
Likes: Pistol-like grip Cheek pad (allows for better cheek weld with scope, rotates out of way when using irons) Dislikes: Too light. Frame is mostly hollow and light in relation to weapon. Makes it a little front heavy for my taste. BTW mine is chambered for .308 so your mileage may vary. Hope that helps. Willie D 2
Good - Allows vertical grip, good with scopes Bad- Mucks up the balance (short barreled 7.62 in my case), even with pad rotated still doesn't allow an ideal cheek weld.
MrTuffPaws 2
Good: Pistol grip without the mod. Light. Cons: Length of pull is about 2 inches shorter than the sporter stock. There is no way in hell to use the cheek pad with the iron sights. Even if you have a scope, low profile mounts may still be too low to use the cheek pad. Even with the cheek pad rotated out of the way, it is hard to get a good cheek weld with Irons. I bought mine for a California compliant mod and it is working nicely for that, but if you are really wanting a pistol grip, I would just do the mod and call it good.
