i'm planning to get a red dot, is the red dot still good for 100 yards?how's the red dot performs 25 yards to 50 yards to 100 yards, i mean if i zero it to 25 yards do still have to adjust it when i shoot 50 yards , sorry i haven't had a red dot before,, thanks

I use the C-more on my ARs. I'm not saying that it is better than some of the others but the ATAC comes mounted in an altered carry handle complete w/ rear sight. When you order the C-more you choose the size of dot you want. The smaller the dot the more accurate it is at longer distances but it is slower finding it in close ranges. I got the 6moa. That means that at 100 yds the dot will cover a 6 inch circle on the target. If I was only shooting the longer distances I would get the 2moa.

I sighted mine in at 25 yards because that is most likley within the range that I would need it for work. My AR rifle shoots 2" low at 50 and 3-4 inches low at the 100. It also shoots about 2" low from inside the 7 because the sight sits about that far above the barrel.

These sights are good for quick aquisition and are accurate at the longer distances but they are not a replacement for a good scope for accuracy at longer distances.
