Noobie-saiga 7.62 front sighting

Recommended Posts

The sight is not off. You need to adjust the front and rear sights accordingly. Here is the link AK-47 Sight Adjustment

Some guy on the THR forum was posting that to sight as AK you should set the rear sight at 2 for 25 yds. He had data on the trajectory on the bullet which showed that 25yds is equal to 200yds. Once you were sighted in @ 25 yards on 2, you would be good on 1 for 100 yards. 2 for 200 yards and 3 for 300 yards.

I hadn't heard that before and he seemed to have the data to back it up.

I haven't tried this yet but I thought I would give it a try the next time I hit the range.

I finally made it to a 100yd range with my Saiga and...I didn't hit the paper after sighting in at 25yds! I didn't have a scope or binoculars and the range was crowded so I only got to check my targets and re-adjust once. I'm going to have to try the sighting in trick above. I did have to crank the front way down to get it zeroed at 25 so it certainly sound like it would work.
